Thrifty lessons from my grandad – his top tips
I have been reflecting on thrifty lessons from my Grandad this week.
I have been thinking rather a lot bout the influences on my life recently. I am taking stock in these middle years I suppose.
One of the main characters of my childhood was my grandad Arthur Williamson.
I saw him almost every day and I spent hours and hours and hours with him.
Lucky me.
Such a good, funny, smart man. So full of love.
Oh I wish he was still here. He was wise wonderful warm and fabilous and my children would adore him,
In some ways I think her really was my very best friend. He was certainly my champion, I was blessed beyond belief to have know him and to have spent so much time with him.
I saw him every single day and I absolutely adored him. He taught me so much about life , about being decent and about being thrifty and frugal. I wanted to honour that and to pass it on.
So I have made a little film about him and all he taught me about frugality and generosity.
