I am really thrilled to share with you a litle project my children and I have been part of. I have always loved creating stories with my children and we were asked to be involved in a wonderful project for Save the Children to write a story simply beginning Once Upon a Time…we had so much fun and it is for such a wonderful cause.
In all seventeen UK parent bloggers took the challenge to ‘tell the story’ their way. This is our gift to the children around the world: beautiful stories with illustrations from our own kids, making it a perfect bedtime story book. By creating this book we are fundraising for Save the Children. The profit of all book sales will be donated to the charity. So please if you were after a new bedtime story book or wanted to make a gift to charity this Christmas do consider buying this book. The stories are wonderful. Maggy from Red Ted Art, Penny from the Alexander Residence, Rosie Scribble and a host of other brilliant bloggers have contributed. The book is a real treat
My children Frankie and Annalsie and I had tremendous fun writing our story about Glimmer and Shimmer two magic light unicorns who cross the rainbow in the middle of the night. If you want to hear all about their adventure then Once Upon a Time is available now!

what a lovely idea. And I’m sure the kids will treasure the books for years to come. Save the children is a great charity to link with as they have an education/reading aspect to their work too. There’s a link to the Halifax who are donating £2 if you listen to their xmas song! http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/
What a lovely, lovely idea!
