Last week I was inivted to look around the new Kiddicare store in Nottingam.
I have bored everyone about it ever since. It is a seriously cool, HUGE baby and toddler superstore and it is so well thought through,it is a sheer delight to shop their for parent. Let me tell you what I loved.
Loo Lane
The toliets have a parent toilet with a little toddler toilet next to them and enough room you can take your buggy in too. Perfect. No one ever wants to leave their baby outside the cubicle do they! The door handles come with smiley faces and sad faces so if a child shuts themselves in you can tell them to move the handle to the happy face and they can let themsleves out. Fabulous!
Gift wrapping.
I kid you not there is a gift wrap station here that is free for you to just use. Sellotape, scissors and paper. How great is that! You can buy a gift, wrap it for free and job done.
Car seat checks
Staff here will pop outside and check your car seat is correctly installed , any car seat at all! You don’t need to have bought it from kiddicare.
Cartoons and cushions
Dotted around the store are little stations where kids can watch cute black and white cartoons and relax whilst you shop …what a brilliant idea.
Wonky wheels
You can take your broken buggy in and guess what? They will fix it for free. Really, even if you didnt buy it there. If you have to leave it overnight they will loan you a spare. Free. How good is that!
There is also a baby register service as well as a baby planning service, an events room offering baby yoga, massage and baby signing classes. There is a cafe with tables big enough for whole antenatal groups to meet. There are breastfeeding hubs should you wish for privacy. There is a a microwave and bottle warmers for you to heat your own milk/food which you are very welcome to bring from home (thrifty!) There is also a fun and funky play area for the little ones.
and ……..
There is the store. This huge, bright, fabulous store filled with everything you could need for your little one. It has tons of choice, everything is in stock and pretty much anything you could possibly need for you baby is there.
