I love to receive perfume on Valentines day but I do know it can be an expensive gift, so rarely ask for it.
I have been thinking about ways to save money on perfume and get the best deal, there are a couple of options.
Homemade perfume
When I was a child I used to make my mum perfume on Valentines day, as I always heard her tell my dad that is what she wanted. My cheap perfume consisted of crushing up flowers in the garden and adding rain water. It was always very rose heavy and did not smell too good. She always told me it was lovely though. It was my budget perfume – I was clearly thrifty in my thinking from an early age.
I had a go with a make your own perfume kit (a more grown up version) last year but he results were unpleasant to say the least and it all ended up in the bin.
I have to say I would be a bit horrified if my OH presented me with homemade perfume on Valentines day!
I still think perfume makes a lovely gift idea and I wear it every day. This year I have been mostly wearing Chloe which I adore and I have almost run out. I would love some new perfume for Valentines day.
How to find perfumes on sale
My OH is not a fan of shopping but he does love a good deal (don’t we all) so I have to push him in the right direction to make shopping the sales easier.
Finding perfumes on sale is easy if you pop over to Love the Sales as they scour all over 600 shops for you and come up with all the perfumes whose prices have been slashed. This will save you so much time and you see all the options in one place then simply click through to the site, At the moment they have 3,199 possibilities when you search for perfume sales …wow!
I like the look of Happy Heart and Love Story (perfectly named Valentine perfumes!) with £40 and £12 off respectively through Love The Sales.
Not that I am hinting!
You might want to leave this page open on your laptop for your OH to see, after dropping hints your perfume is running low (just a thought.) Also check out Savantmag’s cologne list for men for some fab ideas
Perfume is so expensive now, so looking for a bargain is a great idea. I’ll have Modern Muse please ?
As a classic person I love to give perfumes for valentines. But the truth is not easy to choose the right fragrance, not all perfumes are good for everyone.
Thanks for the recommendations!
