Do you ever get stuck for new and inspired ideas?
I have been blogging for 5 years now and have covered having a thrifty and creative Christmas each of those years. I’ve talked about having a thrifty Christmas dinner, what to do if you get presents you don’t like, and how to make it more about the experience than the gifting. I have shared how to make Rudolph out of toast, your own paper chains and ideas for low cost, long lasting gifts.

This year I must admit I felt perhaps I had little left to share.
However, an evening with a festive hot chocolate a Frank Sinatra sings Christmas cd and my lap tap and I was re-inspired. Pinterest works for me every time I am stuck for ideas. Its like tapping into the creative minds of millions rather than just relying on myself.
Over at the crafty and creative Red Ted Art boards I found a whole board dedicated to Christmas ideas and it is fabulous. It has pins covering what to do if your child doesn’t like Santa right through to how to make the awesome toilet roll reindeers.

Just looking at Maggy’s Pinterest board fills me with good crafting intentions (and they are always inexpensive.) See her Christmas ideas board for yourself over at Pinterest.
Handmade Christmas ideas always make me happy too. Amanda from the Ana Mum Diary has a Handmade Christmas board that inspires both my craftiness and thriftiness and she showcases delights such as this:

How gorgeous is that! You can find Amanda’s Handmade Christmas board over at Pinterest.
I do have my own board of course for Thrifty Christmas Ideas and whenever I see a good idea as I travel around Pinterest I just pop it onto my board for later. It is packed with inspiring ideas if you fancy a look.

I LOVE that toilet roll reindeer but am yet to join Pinterest. I know I must, but keep thinking it will just be something else I can’t keep up with! You’ve convinced me, though, darn it 😉
Please don’t send me over to Pinterest to look at Christmas boards …… the children might not get their dinner as I will be lost for hours 🙂
I find the hours drift by much too quickly when I am looking at Pinterest, so many wonderful ideas
Great ideas as usual – I love the reindeers and Erin will love making those.

Ooooh so many great ideas. Love the thrifty wrapping. Looks better than my efforts with expensive wrapping paper!

Thank you so much for including me. You are very inspiring to follow on Pinterest, always pinning new and cool ideas!
I love Pinterest to bits – and it’s spreading all the time. Our builder came in last week and told me he was using ‘Pin Interest’ (ha ha!) to look for tattoo ideas!
