Well it’s the turn of 8 year old R to tell us what he knows about money this week.

Do you get pocket money? Only sometimes – talking about pocket money, I should clean the cupboards shouldn’t I? I’ll do it when you’ve finished doing that.
How much do you get? £1
Do you think that is enough? Yes
How much do you think you should get? £1!
What do you spend it on? I don’t, I keep it until I get an idea. I like sweets and water pistols. I should start saving up for one.
What do think Mummy earns each year? At least £300 or more
How much do you think Daddy earns each year? At least £100
How much do you think Mummy’s car cost? I don’t want to answer that question.
How much do you think we spend on food each week? £50
What do you want to be when you grow up? A Tae Kwon Do teacher
What do you think that job pays? Don’t know
If mummy gave you £100 what would you spend it on? A very fancy sailing boat
What do you think Being Thrifty means? Being drifty and floating around the place
What is your best money saving tip? Don’t spend it too much on sweets – actually no, my best one is save up money so you have a bit more than you need to buy a certain thing so you don’t bankrupt
Do you think we should give some of our money to charity? Yes, of course we should give it to charity, I mean – who wouldn’t?
