Liz Burton hosts Magpie Monday on her lovely blog Me and My Shadow where she encourages others to link up thir posts and show off their second hand ttreasures. This is a lovely way to encourage pride in second hand goods and not only does this encourage is to be green it’s sound thrifty practice. Liz does lots of upcycling and recycling crafts too dilies into baskets and Cds into fish!! Well worth a visit. Lovely photos and tons of ideas.
Diary of a Frugal Family is a blog wirtten by Cass about life as a family on a budget. She writes about simple pleasures, frugal meals, days of fun crafting or playing without the need for spending much money. Her blog is inspirational if you are trying to live on a budget and it’s a great read

Cass is also responsible with Jen from The Madhouse for Frugalicious Food a blog all about frugal cooking. Well worth a look too!
New Mummy’s Tips is another great site for thrifty parents. It is packed with product reviews that tell you if products are good value and sort of a try before you buy so you don’t waste your money. It also has excellent competitions, discount codes and money saving tips and idea. Brilliant.
Playpennies
PlayPennies is a UK blog for money-conscious parents. On PlayPennies, you will find shopping deals, product reviews, freebies, celebaby news, competitions and useful money-saving tips for parents! It is packed with revioews competitions and discount codes and some really savvy ideas. A recent post discussed taking a photo of you r childs lego to make free wall art and preserve the memory. I love it- my son thinks it’s a top idea too!
