Black Mountain Pass

The Black mountain pass between Powys and Monmouthshire, Wales  is a famous road that dips and weaves so much it has been described as a ‘rollercoaster ride on tarmac.’  It passes rivers you could swim in and moorland, goes over narrow bridges and down into the valleys, It is a  stunning 20-mile drive across the Western corner of the Brecon Beacon – at points, there are no rails so this is not one for the feint-hearted or easily distracted!

Snake Pass

Snake Pass has often been heralded as one of Britain’s finest road trips. Snake Pass is a hill pass in the Derbyshire section of the Peak District right in the middle of the UK. It crossing the Pennines between Glossop and the Ladybower Reservoir and the scenery is utterly English and absolutely spectacular.  Ladybower reservoir has history too this is apparently where historical significance as the bouncing bomb practice took place in the 2nd World war. It is called the snake pass because of the winding shape of the road.

Cheddar Gorge

Cheddar Gorge in Somerset is a nature and geology lovers dream road trip and it is full of amazing treasures to discover.  There are beautiful hills with feral goats and buzzards. There are ancient limestone cliffs. There are farms and caves to be seen en route and gorgeous cafes to stop at. A journey through a natural wonder and just gorgeous.
