Win a fabulously funky YUU bag for your child!

500 kids were asked what they  wanted in an ideal back pack. The results were a  secret compartment, outside pocket for carrying drinks bottles, key-ring, magnetic game, toy, drawing pencils/paper and reflective stickers. Oh and some choice too!

Well as a result the  YUU bag (activity centre more like!)  was born, You basically purchase a voucher and kids get to go online to YUU world and design what they want to go inisde their bag then it is persoanlised and sent to them. How cool.

The quality is fantastic and opening up these bags is like unwinding a desk  The bag is aimed at children aged seven plus and has an ergonomically designed foam back-panel, which provides maximum support for young backs. Additionally the bags have been designed with 360-degree reflectors aiding nighttime visibility.

The first YUUbag went on sale on in July 2010, supported by a series of TV ads on Nickelodeon with the strap line ‘YUU. There’s a whole world in there!’ The bags sold out almost immediately.

The basic bag plus some accessories retails for £42. ( Not cheap I know but pretty fab!)

I was sent a bag to review then to pass on to one  of you. Unused and gorgeous I am offering one lucky reader this bag plus a few YUU accesories already inside

All you have to do to enter is follow this blog and let me know you are doing so and then just tell me about the best bag you ever had. Easy peesy.

Comp ends next Fri Jan 14th at 4 pm.

My best bag has to be the one i’m using now, it is a baby changing bag by koto from boots. You wouldn’t think it was a baby bag looking at it. It is my favourite as it has lots of room and pockets and the most ‘trendy’ looking bag I have ever owned!

I still use the best bag I have ever bought. It’s an Emily Strange bag. It has a Big Black cat face on it which is a huge pocket. The rest of the bag is red, with a zipper pocket for my purse a pocket for a bottle and pen holders. The rest of the bag is large but doesn’t look it. It’s like a Mary Poppins bag you can fit everything inside.

The best bag I ever had was a black crushed velvet over-the-shoulder bag. I had this when I was at college and it lasted me for years. I had to fasten the flap down with a George from Rainbow badge!!! You’re never too old for classic childrens TV ;o) I still have it but don’t use it as it has too many holes in it.

My best bag is hard as I am not a bag fan.
However, the one that I remember is a bright canary yellow one that my mum insisted on me taking to my first interview. It did not go with anything I was wearing.
Bags that appeal to me are ones with lots of bits and pieces on like studs, chains etc which makes me sound quite odd but there you go

When I was at school I had an old-style battered satchel which was Tardis-like in that it could hold more text books and Jackie magazines than you would think possible. It was customized with Depeche Mode and Soft Cell badges and covered in (often cryptic) graffitti. I loved it and used it every day until it started to disintigrate to the point where even I had to admit it was beyond repair!

Hi Becky – i’m following your blog via Yahoo (web based reader is it!?!?)

Best bag – tricky, there have been so many over the years and I do make sure they all earn their keep (except the evening bags which don’t come out too often), so in that way they have all been best.

However, i’m going to go right back to school. The in thing was to go to the army surplus stores and buy green canvas satchel type bags – no frills at all, a green canvas square that fastened with two little tuck in strap things at the front and I think the long handle was also adjustable length. They were cheap and cheerful and we used to ‘customise’ them – mainly with badges, but sometimes we’d write the names of bands on in big fat black marker pen – oversized letters. They were washable, held plenty books and cheap to replace (which was rarely required as they were made for the army).

In fact, i’m going to go ‘google’ in a minute now to see if you can still get them and how much they are!

Thanks for your blog and comps – always fun and informative.

My best bag is the very first Radley i ever bought. A few years back i neverdreamed i could own designer handbags. I remember lusting afte this beautiful Black Radley with a floral design stitched all over it. Then one day i won £350 of houseof fraser vouchers so i spoilt myself as everything is high end so i thought hey if im going to indulge i might as well get what my heart desires.

It now sits in its dust bag on top of my wardrobe and i use it on special occasions 🙂

I follow via email if that counts? My best bag ever is probably my current changing bag! I’m not much of a bag person (I have pockets and use them lol) but sadly my pockets aren’t big enough for everything my son needs so I a changing bag is a must. Still at least it hangs on the pram so I can’t lose it. Is it only me who is prone to putting down a handbag and forgetting to pick it back up??? Unlike me my daughter is a total bag fiend – she even has 3 different lunch bags, and she would love this so thanks very much for giving it away.

Great blog – love it all!
My favourite bag has to be my big suitcase, as if I’m using that it means i’m going on holiday! 🙂 It doesn’t get used often enough though! Next favourite is my gorgeous crystal-encrusted baby bag that matches my crystal-encrusted pushchair – so stylish! But my current shoulder bag is the best i’ve ever ever had. It’s a Healthy Back Bag and it’s brilliant. Lots of pockets to distribute the clutter and it actually is so very comfortable no matter how much I cram into it. Can highly recommend it. I no longer have a dent in my shoulder! Sling in on your shoulder, and you can’t even feel it’s there. I often have to check I haven’t lost it!
