Well I guess I am amummy blogger because I am a mum who mainly blogs about mums stuff. I bet there are hundreds of definitions and one isn’t right and another wrong, we just all probably see it a little bit differently and that’s okay. Until it’s in the dictionary variations on a theme are allowed!
One mummy blogger may spend her time writing pushchair reviews and attending fun events with their little one. Another may document funny stories from their family life. Another may explore her angst, her child’s special needs, and the trouble with triplets, single parenting, same sex parenting, and frustrated parenting and so on. Some mummy bloggers may have a theme like my blog has budgeting. Others may be linked to a business or be so personal that the blogger in questions hides their true identity.
It is a rich, diverse and varied world, but it has commonalities. It gives women, mums a voice and a place to tell the story they wants to tell, enables her to not be constrained by her presening day to day life life and it provides opportunities ( whether this be to explore, record, earn, celebrate, teach, write, create, share or make friends.)
So sister mummy bloggers with whom I share space and opportunity I am glad I am part of your broad and brilliant community and thanks so much for having me.
