Last month as part of the Tots 100 book club I was sent The Drowning Pool as recommended Carol from Dance without sleeping. Apparently it is a spooky ghost story. You can take a look at her review of The Drowning Pool over at her blog. I am very much looking forward to reading it. Tesco not only sent me the book on Carol’s recommendation they also sent me a galaxy Yum!
Now it is my turn to pick a book and a lovely blogger to pass it on to. I have chosen The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. It is about loss, deep deep grief and it is about life , love and reasons for living. It really made me cry and it helped me let go. It has apparently now been made into a film. It is a love story and a loss story and a story about hope. It is beautiful, profound and simple. I am going to pass this on to my dear friend Jen Walshaw who blogs at The Madhouse in the hope it uplifts her.
Jen I hope this book touches your heart like it touched mine. God bless my friend.
P.S I initially bought this book because once, many moons ago I went to a party in a place called St.Cloud and I was so happy there, it was right nect to the Mississippi river and we sat out under the stars listening to the water.
10 bloggers to tell us about stories that have moved and inspired them – and to share their favourite books with another blogger. Each month, they’ll be publishing a round-up of the Book Club’s recommendations over on the Tots100
site, meaning you need never be short of great reading inspiration again!
I am really looking forward to reading this. I have just finished The Hunger Games, which were rather good and a very easy read.
