Some last minute Christmas Crafts
A wonderful Christmas guest post from Amanda
Hello…
If like me, you are trying to make some savings this Christmas but would like a few extra decorations for the house. Here is what my girls Miss N (aged 9) and Miss A (aged 2 ½) did as a craft project this weekend.
You will need:
- Plain baubles
- PVA glue, or decopatch glue
- An old paintbrush
- Oddments of wrapping paper, tissue or fabric.
We first took some plain baubles (we had these left from previous years) if you don’t have any of these squirreled away, why not try the pound shop.
We then, using wrapping paper, tissue and fabric, set to decorate a few.
You simply put glue on in a fairly even layer on the bauble, in small sections. Place the material you want to cover the bauble with and then brush more glue on top.
Then work your way around the bauble until completed. They take a couple of hours to dry. Please don’t be disheartened at this stage as they do look a bit of a mess, but once dry they look lovely.
So we then exchanged the twine that was on the bauble for more brightly coloured ribbon, and filled a vase with the Little Miss’s creations!
Thank you Becky for letting me do this Guest post on your very lovely Blog. Wishing you and your readers a very Merry Christmas!

What a fabulous idea so simple.. this is a decorators dreams and can be adapted for any season.
These look great! I’m always on the look out for crafts for our Toddler group so I’m going to ‘file’ this one for next year.
What a fab idea! I might do these with my nephew who’s staying with us later in the week. He can take them home and they can be cherished every Christmas, thanks x
