Snapfish review & 2 £50 snapfish vouchers to be won

This month on baby budgeting the theme is budgeting on special occasions.

We all love to take photos on special occasions don’t we but so often they are left lanquishing on the computer going nowhere, unseen, Well let’s kick off our themed month with a great photo soluition  that may not cost you a penny!

Snapfish have the most brilliant products. They cantake your photos and can turn them into:

calendars canvas prints cards clothing collage gifts fun & games gift certificates home & office photo books photo mugs photo posters photo stamps prints & pre-paids stationery wall art

Wow!

I was lucky enough to be given a Snapfish voucher recently and if I say so  myself I made THE most lovely gift for my children.  I made them both a photo book about their wondeful Grandma.

Because it was photos printed on paper rather than the real thing they can touch these books to their hearts content.  They can look at them after playing in the garden and they can read them in bed at night. I’m not all panicking thinking precious photos will be ruined. Instead my children get their precious memories completely accessile to them.  I chose the covers, the theme, the colours and I chose what to write alongside the photos and in which font.

The books are totally gorgoeos. Excellent standard paper and photo quality and fantastic value for money . They cost just £19.99 for a 20 page book. They have bought my kids immense pleasure as they are completely personal  I hope it will always be a treasure for them and keep important, beautiful memories alive

Anyways those lovely people at Snapfish know mums love to take photos of their little ones and are often strapped for cash too, so they have come up with this amazing, generous competition for you…….

Competition:

I have not one but TWO  £50 vouchers to give away from Snapfish ! Just tell me what you would choose form their range. Click here to visit their store.

Winners will be selected at random  by Babybudgeting  on October 8th at 4pm.

Good luck everyone!

  16. October 3, 2010 / 7:06 pm

Oh it is hard to choose but some photo albums would make great Christmas presents for the Grandparents!

  17. October 3, 2010 / 8:27 pm

I have actually spent tonight going through my photos from the past four months ready to print – all 493 of them!! I have SO many things I want to do with them – I always put them in albums in the conventional way, but I would also love to make some canvas prints or maybe even the collage posters for a frame on a wall.
In the past I have bought cheap photo albums and inserted pictures to make Lilly little photobooks of herself and her family, and I’d really like to make “proper” books for her and for her baby sister, when she’s big enough. She really loves looking at the books I’ve made her, especially the first one I made, when she was a baby, now that she has a little baby sister of about the same age! I also keep meaning to get a proper photobook done of pictures from Lilly’s Christening, and from Isla’s once we have it. It was an important day, but one they won’t have any recollection of, so I think it’s important for them to have a keepsake like that to treasure.
And then there are lots of ideas on the site and floating around my head for Christmas presents for the family! Just so much that could be done!!
But first I will need to get these 493 latest ones printed and sorted into albums – probably a full week’s worth of evenings needed to finish that one off! x

I would do exactly the same as Michelle! A Photobook for my mum. She only sees her grandchildren once a year.

I would make a picture book of the kids for each of our parents. Since we moved to London none of the grandparents get to see the kids very often. It would make a lovely Christmas gift for them.

  35. October 7, 2010 / 9:02 am

I would go for creating Xmas cards, calendars and small photobooks, which we did last year and were very popular with grandparents and other family members. Great competition! @Kahanka

  36. October 7, 2010 / 9:14 am

Hard to choose because I love making photo gifts! – I would make a canvas print because I’ve never had one done before. I love making calendars for the grandparents too, and photobooks for our own keepsake of best children’s pictures (now that baby is born, we’re planning to make a photobook of her first year, just like we did for the big one)

  37. October 7, 2010 / 9:29 am

I actually made one of these books for my Gran for Christmas a couple of years ago, filled with family snaps, going back to when my Grandad was alive, in his Air Force uniform. They are beautiful gifts.

I’d choose a whole pile of the 3×2 minibooks, get them printed for us, and for Squeaky’s grandparents. My mum loves showing off pictures of Squeaky, so tis would be a great way for her to carry the photos around.

  38. Hazel
    October 7, 2010 / 9:42 am

I would create a photo book for my Father, of his niece & nephew, as he no longer see’s them, due to family issues. He misses them so much, & always asks about them. I’m sure it would make him happy, looking through such a creation 🙂

I would also create a second book, of his children & the good times we have had with him. Again, he would be eternally greatful <3

    October 7, 2010 / 12:52 pm

I’d choose a collage photo canvas of family pictures to hang in our living room. I’ve never done a canvas photo before, they always seem a bit expensive (although these don’t seem bad value) and the collage is a really nice idea.

I got her the calender last year and i’ve got the a couple of the collage posters and also have give these as gifts to great aunts and uncles.

  54. October 7, 2010 / 1:27 pm

I would choose a collage canvas – think it’s great as choosing just one picture for the wall is just so difficult. Having ordered canvas’s from Snapfish before I know that they are great quality and it’s so easy to arrange your photos and order.

  55. Gemma Jones
    October 7, 2010 / 1:34 pm

I have just had my birthday and my mum paid to have a photo shoot done with my partner and 14 months old son. I would love to put one of the photos up on a large canvas to display in my front room for all to see. If I got a smaller canvas print done then I would get something for my son, like a photobook with all the family in.

My mother in law has over the years written a collection of poems for children. We have got the great grandchildren to illustrate this with their drawings. Now we want to create photo books of this for her to give to the grandchildren & great grandchildren for Xmas. The only trouble is that she needs a dozen of them. It will be a great keepsake for all of them.

  63. Hayley Todd
    October 7, 2010 / 2:51 pm

I would choose 2 of the wonderful photo books with personalised front covers for my 2 little girls. I would dedicate the books to my grandma, their great-grandma who has just passed away. She adored my 2 little girls and it devastates me to know that due to their age they will not remember her or how much she loved and adored them. I would fill it with photos of their great-grandma and the beautiful treasured photos I have of them together with her where her love for them shines through. I would love this, so they could see just how special she was and how much they were loved by her.

    October 7, 2010 / 4:50 pm

I would get a canvas print from our family photo session. Our little boy is 20 months now and spent the first 11 months of his life in great ormond street hospital. He has a rare syndrome and he now has complex special needs and night time ventilation via a tracheostomy. My husband and I are now on a limited income as we had to give up work to care for our Son full time. He needs someone with him 24 hours. It makes life a challenge but every day we spend with him is treasured. He is such a happy little boy and never let’s his condition get him down. It would be so lovely to hang a beautiful canvas on our wall for people to see and for us to cherish. If we had some money left we would order some Christmas Photo Cards with our Son dressed as santa for our special family members and friends. Snapfish offer some amazing gifts. I have many photo books of special events in our lives and they are fantastic quality and easy to produce. The fridge magnets are also fun and the mini photo book and flipbooks are great value for money and lovely for grandparents to show off their families.

I would do a collage poster for my brother in law who lives in Amsterdam. We don’t get to see him too often and he misses us too. I would design a poster with lots of photos of the family, including pics of his nephew and niece, (my kids) things we’ve done, places we been to, and as the price is so reasonable it would be a fun gift to send every couple of months to help him feel up to date.

  72. Tricia Clark
    October 7, 2010 / 8:03 pm

I’d love to make a calender of my daughter so I can look back at how much she has grown. It’s amazing how quickly and rapidly they grow up and so this can remind me of all the ‘firsts’ we captured this year – first crawling, steps, family holiday, birthday, teeth, father’s day & mother’s day…and I would put them on the months they happen this year so I can look back on the calender and think ‘this time last year she…’. Makes me smile thinking about it now. 🙂
If I had any of the voucher left over I’d make a poster to go on my daughter’s nursery wall. She loves looking at photos of the family and her friends, and it would be really lovely to have a poster up in her room so she can see them all everyday.

  73. Linda Hine
