Newly Launched Lego Star Wars review – n doesn’t that sound exciting!
12 years on from the launch of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, the film is out in 3D from February 2012. (How cool!) To celebrate , LEGO® Star Wars™ brings you a whole host of playsets, vehicles and characters to go with this.
We were sent the 9491 Geonosian™ Cannon (RRP: £19.99) to review.
Led by General Barriss Offee and Clone Commander Gree, the clone army is mounting an attack on the planet Geonosis. But it won’t be easy. The Geonosians are expecting them and are firing back with their powerful Geonosian cannon with dual flick missiles!
Honestly…the above means nothing to me but kept my 7 year old completely absorbed for a couple of hours and he adores it so I’m happy!!
I’ve never seen Star Wars in my life but I am assured by my husband and his friends that these sets are very cool! Next uo for review was the 9674 Naboo Starfighter™ & Naboo™ (RRP: £9.99) which apparently is the hub of activity throughout Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace. Complete with Naboo, Starfighter, and pilot Minifigure, it defends itself against the clutches of the Trade Federation. The planet can be hung up which is brilliant.
I have to say it all sounds very exciting, doesn’t it!
Lego continues to delight and fascinate my son and absorb his energy and concentration for hours. Funny I have been reviewing Lego friends this week we seem to have a theme going on the blog!
In terms of budget, I think Lego is a great investment toy; there are endless play possibilities, the quality is such it can pass down the generations and it can be played with from ages 4-94! Well worth the money.
LEGO® Star Wars™ sets are available from toy shops nationwide from January 2012. For further information visit starwars.LEGO.co.uk
