i love picnics because the kids love them! Sometimes in the summer we just put the picnic blanket down in the back garden and have our tea out there and they absolutely love it! Love seeing them happy!
I love picnics because you can take your time, people watch and enjoy the fresh air. Plus it’s good for everyone, me,y husband, our baby and the dog!
The best thing is the cake, of course. 😀
the great outdoors , eating outside is always fun
fun, easy and keeps grandkids happy without spending a lot.
I love picnics as the kids can run around and enjoy the fresh air, we take the bikes and a game like tennis or something, brilliant the kids love it and they fall asleep quick at the end of the day, aahh bliss
The kids love it as they can be as messy as they want. I love it because it healthy and gets them out in the fresh air.
they are fun we often have picnic teas at home my son gets a blanket and we sit in the living room x
Best thing is being to have fun with the family without having the usual arguments about sitting at the table!
I love the freedom of the great outdoors, summer days into summer evenings, greatest feeling xxx
My favourite thing ever is a good picnic out in the countryside! Lazing in the shade of a big tree on a sunny day, preferably by a little stream so the children can have a paddle (and the grown ups!) lots of yummy picnic food, a nice cooling breeze to take the edge off the heat, all the time in the world – and no washing up! 🙂 Love it! And food just tastes so much better!
i aint going to lie the best thing is the food lol
Been to say hello on your fb page. Great stuff!
Its spending time with loved ones without any distraction and getting back to nature spending time outdoors. Love picnics.
l love the informality of it

Egg sandwiches 🙂 i love them
Taking the little ones for a safe free do as you like fun time, giggles all round!

It is just so much nicer! Even the food tastes better when you are out enjoying the fresh air and quality family time.
Food always taste so much better in informal outdoor settings.
I love picnics as they are a great way to get the family together for a meal
Food tastes so much nicer in the sunshine and fresh air
Best thing about picnics are that they remind me of being young again during the summer. We used to go for picnics out near Sandringham in Norfolk with Mum and Dad. Picnics make me feel young again.
the best thing? Hardly any washing up!
We have lots & lots of picnics but my favourites are the ones at open air concerts!!
simple outdoor fun 🙂 x
We love having picnics in the summer. There are so many lovely beautiful spots around that we are always spoilt for choice.
On a picnic the food seems to be seasoned by the sun and just tastes better.

A picnic gives everyone a chance to relax and kick back. The kids enjoy eating outdoors. When my boys were young we used to put pots of fruit and jelly in too. We treated it like a party. Lots of games, running and football. Loads of fun and tires the kids out ready for a good nights sleep!
Take teddy bears, make it an adventure, little bites and out in the greenery
Picnics remind me of the simplicity of childhood. Good company and great times
Spending quality time with friends and family
My little ones love picnics! They think eating outside is a real treat. If they are happy I am happy! So I love picnics too 🙂
i love the smell of fresh air and grass and the freedom to make crumbs freely!
Love the informal atmosphere of a picnic
Lying in the grass, looking at the sky. feeling full and content
I love the anticipation of a picnic, picking a place, buying and preparing the food, packing it up so precisely in the little containers, then building an appetitie in the fresh air, roaming, and laughing and chasing the giggling children, then collapsing on the rug, and munching happily.
Being out in the fresh air.

its a fab way to get outdoors and spend quality time with the family, just chillimg an eating great food. bliss x
GOOD CLEAN FRESH AIR
The best thing about a picnic is the food 😀
I’ve said hello on your Facebook page.
The best thing about a picnic is that it is so much cheaper than taking the whole family out for a meal. Being a family of 5, it gets quite expensive to go to a restaurant, not to mention stressful when all my three small boys want to do is play. Having a picnic means that the boys get to eat exactly what they want while being able to play at the same time; it can be as healthy as I want to make it; I get control over the variety of food available (plus control over what it costs).
We always take a picnic on our days out to castles or parks, and my boys like nothing better than kicking a ball around in between eating a cheese sandwich.
I have liked and commented on your facebook page.
just being outside, its so nice after being cooped up in the winter
Appreciating the beauty that God has created for us with my family while relaxing and enjoying a delicious lunch.
They’re fun, cheap, bring the whole family together and sometimes bring out the sunshine.
The best thing about picnics is making fresh healthy food in a lovely setting without any distractions such as the tv 🙂
its fun spending time with friends and family, commented on facebook too 🙂
eating out and about
Pork Pies
Fresh air and eating food in a relax atmosphere
The best thing has to be the scotch eggs – no picnic is complete without them eggs – all i need is a picnic rug – sunshine and beautiful scotch eggs – epic days !!!!
I love sharing finger food with my son.
Reminds me of my childhood when picnic were like a mini holiday! So exciting! Now i have children myself I would like them to have the same memories.
At the end shaking off all the crumbs!
Definitely leaving the watch at home and just enjoying the sound of the birds, the field mice, and watching the ants trying to march across the picnic blanket. There is something magical about a long drawn out meal in the sun….
Also loved and shared on Facebook. Many thanks and kind regards.
Great food, great weather and great company. A picnic is a nice cheap way to spend much needed quality time with family in a beautiful environment and it can be taken anywhere and always a great little treat!
A picnic turns an outing into an occasion – and it’s so much fun!
Have commented on your facebook page.
The best thing about a picnic is being able to control what goes into the food and the prep ensuring my children eat the best possible food.
Getting away from modern life is the best thing about picnics. it also slows me down and allows us to focus on each other with no distractions
It’s far easier than eating in a cafe/restauant with a child. No waiting/queuing, it’s cheaper, you know that they’ll eat what you’ve prepared and you don’t have to worry about them being noisy. Picnics are fun especially in a nice location on a warm sunny day
ants on the crisps, grass in the juice, wasps strafing the children, houmus on the wool rug, hint of sunburn, looming rainclouds. I love it all!
Preparing all the goodies for the picnic hamper and spending time with family and friends 🙂
It’s cheap but you get to spend quality time outside together and it is a really good day out. I have liked on FB (Larley Haylar)
I love picnics. You can go to a beauty spot and decide where to sit and eat and you are getting plenty of fresh air as well.
I love picnics for the simple outdoorsy pleasure of it all 🙂 plus the kids see it as going on an adventure and they love choosing what we will take on our picnic.
The best thing about a picnic is that the kids love it and it’s easy to make the healthy options look fun when you get to eat them outside (good for the budget too of course).
picnics – my favourite ever was in the snow in a forest with hot soup and bread! all sat on picnic blankets and wrapped up warm – never giggled so much!
…and really pleased to find your facebook page! had looked for one before but failed to locate it.
A change of environment.Natural surroundings,unrestricted,no stress.
i absolutly need this prize lol, always on the beach having a picnic and never equipped. Thanks, Googluck all
It’s one time when the kids are happy to sit down and eat with us, and I din’t care about the mess
Just said hello and shared on Facebook
I love being able to spread out on the grass in the garden or by a beautiful lake or river, eat whilst wearing a bikini and getting a tan over lunch. Watching wildlife, throwing titbits to ducks, geese and swans or the smaller birds on the water always lifts my mood, and if I have good company it’s even better. People-watching can sometimes be quite entertaining too!
Eating outdoors and not worrying about the crumbs
A picnic is one of those things that can be done on the spur of the moment, within a tight budget and gets the children out of the house so that the family can spend quality time together.
BEING OUT IN THE FRESH AIR AND NATURE WITH LOVED ONES
letting the kids play outdoors blowing bubbles, playin frisbee etc whilst eating lovely picnic food. some of my favourite family memories are of picnics!
the food the surroundings and the company
Whether at the beach, lakeside or in your own back garden it’s great to eat out in the fresh air with friends & family & if you use paper plates there’s no washing up…BONUS!
Definitely eating alfresco and wonderful childhood memories. I can’t eat Bramley Apple pies unless it’s at a beach picnic- they don’t taste right without sand in them!
PICNICS ARE WONDERFUL GET YOU OUT OF THE HOUSE INTO THE FRESH AND APPRECIATE THE COUNTRYSIDE AND NATURE.
SURPRISING MY SONS 🙂 my 4 year old loves the adventure so i surprise him & tell him we are going on a new adventure to find somewhere for a picnic
the fresh air and the space to run around
Its great spending time with your family, eating lots of variety of great food and watching the kids and “big kids” play.
Fresh air, out in the country with nature – as long as nature doesn’t get to close (wasps)
Best thing has to be just having good old family fun and good times in the great outdoors
Best thing is chilling out in the sun with friends and family, eating yummy food and having a good time.
The best part of a picnic has to be relaxing (preferably on a beach) in the outdoors with your loved ones and having fun!

being in the nice fresh air
food always tasted better
Best thing about a picnic…spending time with family away from work and the stresses of life, good food…doesn’t get much better 🙂
Sunshine, friendship and cake…the perfect ingredients for an amazing picnic!!!
We take a picnic to the park and after running round like mad me and the kids relax while eating and we look at what shapes the clouds look like
Picking the perfect spot, laying it all out and enjoying that delicious, home-prepared food in the great outdoors.
The best thing, no doubt, is that you are with your family!
Popped to your FB page and said “hello”.
The best thing about having a picnic is that the countryside is your dining room and you can enjoy a meal at some of the most beautiful places in the world. Informal and wonderful
The best thing about a picnic is having family time outdoors
Just being outside with the family and having a lovely time
I have liked the Facebook page and said hi – Kirsty Fox
Popped over an said hello on Facebook x
A different al fresco meal, always tastes great even for simple sandwiches.
The best thing is enjoying good food with people you love
The best thing about a picnic is being in the outdoors, enjoying the fresh air. That is, if you choose your location carefully – through necessity (not choice) we’ve picniced in some very odd places in the past, and you don’t get much fresh air in a motorway services car park!
you enjoy your food more in the open air and it`s more relaxing
The best thing has to be simply being out in the fresh air
getting outside, enjoying nature and having fun!
1. Spending time with my family, as a family.
2. Being in a natural environment – the breeze in my hair, the sounds of the stream etc.
3. It can be much cheaper to have a picnic than go to a restaurant.
4. If you let the kids let off some steam they’ll go to sleep when you get home 😉
enjoying the outdoors fresh air good food and famliytime
No washing up!
Sand in the sandwiches, wasps in the jam tarts, soggy sausage rolls, warm lemonade and still feeling like you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here with your family.

said hello on facebook
A picnic means the sun is shining and I am with my family.
It’s lovely being able to pack a bag with a big variety of bits and pieces knowing there will be something for everyone without having to go through the “but I don’t like . . . ” conversation!
Fresh air
The best thing about a picnic is eating my favourite foods in the fresh air surrounded by lots of greenery
Being with family and having fun
Happy, smily faces, kids running off the excess energy, fun in the sun
Fresh cut grass…fizzy lemonade…homemade potato salad and ham sandwiches…then out comes the kite 🙂 giggles and then home = perfect
Sitting outside in a cool summer breeze with my family and watching them enjoy the lovely food.
Eating and drinking to your heart’s content, then lying back on a picnic blanket and staring at the sky without a care in the world!
being outdoors 🙂
Spening time with family having fun
For some reason an ordinary sandwich tastes special on a picnic.
Even if it’s only a “picnic in the garden”!
Being in a different environment and enjoying the fresh air 🙂
Time away from the daily grined and fantastic time to people watch.
Eating outdoors with the family
Scotch eggs and pork pies
I had never been on a picnic in my life until I was 25! My fiancee took me and our children to the local woods, where we cooked on the free BBQ there, we made a base with a heap of car-blankets and trees, the place was empty despite the weather being absolutely perfect, cloudless sky with the perfect breeze, and we stayed there until early evening, watching the sun over the trees while the kids started to doze in the car. It was the most wonderful day, and despite the fact I forgot my camera and my phone was out of charge, I didn’t need to take pictures to remember how utterly happy and blissful I felt that day. Nothing mattered at all and we are so glad the weather is nice again as I want to go all the time!
I have said Hi on your facebook page, thanks so much for this really great prize, I am really keeping my fingers crossed, I would love to fill this full of goodies for the kids! 🙂 Have a great week!
Rich.
Relaxing with friends
I love picnics, the best thing is sitting down to relax after a lovely long walk.. enjoying the beautiful British countryside and enjoying the lovely food you have lovingly prepared from scratch at home.
Enjoying the Great outdoors with great food and just the people you want to share it with.
Sitting on hard ground, trying to stop the wasps from stinging, eating soggy sandwiches and STILL thinking it was a really great day out.
spending time with your family and friends
I always buy treats for a picnic, like scotch eggs and starwberries
The best thing about a picnic is lingering over the food and lazing around afterwards, its a really nice social occasion.
Hello again, I’ve just been to visit your facebook page! Thanks for the competition!
the best thing, the fresh air in your lungs
The best thing about it is just to spend time with the people you love away from all the distractions and noise of modern life… no TV, no phones ringing, just good old fashioned conversation in the fresh air and warm sun!
Children seem to eat more, behave better and there’s no mess!
Spending quality time with friends and family
Fresh air and hopefully no wasps.

The best thing about going on a picnic is enjoying the outdoors. I love it 🙂
I have popped over to facebook, liked and said hello 🙂 x
The best thing about picnics is getting everyone together and having a good time!
I think the best thing is that it is much more relaxed and kids enjoy it more.
What better for the kids, than sitting at home playing on computers, getting out in the fresh air and playing in safety. All that exercise gives them a hearty appetite and they come back home contented and tired.
The best thing is just being outside – enjoying the fresh air! xoxo
Have liked and commented on fb xoxo
I love spending a peaceful day somewhere pretty and relaxing with my family and picnic food is the best. It’s good for the kids to run around in the fresh air ….plus they always sleep better after 🙂
Being able to relax with nature
The best thing about picnics is being able to relax while the children have fun, not forgetting all the goodies you get to eat like scotch eggs, cheese straws, crisps and cakes. The children work up a good appetite and eat more
The best thing about a picnic is it is easy and you can make it as cheap (or as expensive) as you need 🙂 x
picnics are great as an excuse to get everyone together in a lovely outdoors setting where you can have a nice relaxing time, and of course its cheaper alternative to taking the family to a fast food place or pub
Getting to spend time outdoors with my 2 beautiful girls
The best things about a picnic is the sunshine and fresh air. I love sitting on the the picnic blanket watching my daughter run around and play.
the best things about picnic’s are the yummy foods, nice weather & quality time spent with friends & family.
Being outside in the fresh air, eating and enjoying nature! 🙂
The best thing about a picnic is that you can have it anywhere! Your back garden, the local park or on top of a mountain! Enjoying fresh air, sun shining (hopefully!) and good company 🙂
The best thing about a picnic is time spent together – we seem to spend more time talking as a family when we eat ‘al fresco’ 🙂 @pipersky1
The best thing about picnic is enjoing time with family, looking at Your kids having fun and playing together with them.
Said Hi on Facebook too 🙂 @pipersky1
ilove how social a picnic is, its not like normal mealtimes when you make the food hand it out and everyone eats where they want. during our family picnics we all sit together, chat carry on and have a great time and sharing food is good for our two kids to try new things.
A picnic always evokes a holiday feeling, even if you are simply sitting in the back garden on a rug eating a sandwich!
Love Picnics 🙂 You can make all the kids favorites so there’s no upset or waste, they can run around to their hearts content, & I get to soak up some sun. Love it. love it, love it.
My favourite thing about picnics is sitting down with friends and family, surrounded by gorgeous views with delicious food and a glass of Pimms!
The chance of rain.midges, and wild animals. What excitement.
I love it all, from the excitement of getting up and peering through the windows to check that its sunny to the making of the sandwiches and flasks of tea. I love finding that perfect spot on the grass that’s not too lumpy so your drink doesn’t fall over and there’s no flies buzzing round. Then the food always tastes so much better off paper plates – fresh salad and sandwiches, strawberries, crisps and cup cakes. I want to go on a picnic now.
The best thing is sitting on the grass, with you family, looking up at the clouds in a blue sky. All whilst eating munching on a sandwich and drinking a ginger beer! Just like in the Secret Seven!
The best thing about picnics is that you can eat whenever and wherever your heart desires or your tummy rumbles. Just being in the fresh outdoors with a breeze in your hair and the warm sun on your skin seems to create a healthy appetite. I have picnics most days with my son in the summer and then there is no time limit about getting back for dinner. Enjoy, have fun and make the best of the summer. x
the ebst thing is the kids are happy as theyre out for the day and its a cheap fun day out to be enjoyed by the whole family x
the whole experience..the kids love choosing what to pack in the cooler to eat, they love deciding where to go, then they enjoy playing in the Great Outdoors and I altenately enjoy relaxing and watching them or joining in with a game of rounders! They are never happier though than if we choose somewhere that has a little stream to play in, then I have a struggle to get them home again!!!
Sitting with grass under your bare feet, lovely x
I really enjoy spending hours putting the world to rights with friends and family whilst nibbling on foods I don’t tend to eat at any other time.
I always smile to myself after I have said “Oh, we’ll have a picnic, it’ll be easier!” Who am I kidding. But, we all love picnics in our house. It’s a family affair getting the hamper ready with lots of goodies to eat and drink. But, you also have to take all the paraphanalia that goes with it! Rug, chairs, bats and balls, games, change of clothing, towels (we always find water) dog. Bring on the Summer sunshine.x
I’ve said hello on your FB page. (Karen Barrett)
Enjoying the sunshine, especially in the summer!
Being in the fresh air and not having to worry about finding something that everyone will eat.
We used to go on lovely picnics when I was a child as money was tight and not enough to eat out. Eating in the fresh air is hard to beat and if you are with your family you feel that all is right with the world
Sunshine, happy faces and yummy food.

Spending time with the family
best thing is being outside with nature all around and beautiful scenery
Love sitting and chatting to my family and friends, enjoying being outside and hearing the birds sing. mmm yummy food and good company/
We just love being outdoor, so having a picnic in our local park, Worden Park, Leyland, is always high on the agenda.
We pack out bags with sandwiches, fingers foods & drinks, not forgetting the bread to feed the ducks & walk the short distance.
We also have our balls & bats to use up all that energy running around playing a game. We love playing rounders & often other families will come & join in, its so much fun & a great way of making friends.
All the fresh air will eventually tire them out, so its another quick drink then head for home.
A cheap but fun filled afternoon away from all of lifes other pressures. Its an escape for all of us.
The best thing about picnics is how much they remind me of the Enid Blyton stories I read as a little girl. Lemonade, ginger beer, pineapple chunks….ahhhh….another world.
The best thing about a picnic is eating in the open air with no cookers or microwaves about its going back to nature
Great finger food (mini pork pies and chicken drumsticks!!) and no washing up!! 🙂
CAKE!
Spending time together
I love picnics with the family children playing and eating in the sun and having fun.. Picnics is a great free way of spending family time together.
For me the best thing about picnics is that food always tastes nicer eaten in the fresh air. Looking at the happy smiling faces, pink cheeked children worn out after running around , and eating local British fayre is just perfect.
The best thing about going for a picnic is that we can take our baby tortoise George, who plods about enjoying the sunshine and the grass while we’re tucking into our sandwiches!
Being outdoors!
Picnics as a Childminder are a wonderful thing. The children socialise. We are away from the television and the general distractions of being indoors and their appetites outdoors soar! They will try new foods and eat more healthily just from being in a different environment. Also they are free to roam around a little and enjoy being outside and work off their meal afterwards with a lovely walk home. I do love picnics. I think we will have many of them this Summer ^_^
The best thing, fresh air, fresh food, the sound of songbird and the birds clear up the crumbs
I love to dine whilst in beautiful surroundings, it’s great to be looking at something other than the TV when eating 🙂 X
I’ve stopped by your Facebook page to say hello 🙂 x
Well…it has to be a picture perfect loation, great food and a great british catch up with loved ones. A picnic brings smiles and the whole family together
Best thing about a picnic is quality time with the family. Its prefect when the sun is shining and its nice to have a little adventure.
Getting close to nature, enjoying sunshine, and peace and quiet. No interruptions or temptation to rush the meal to get on with other things. It brings everyone together and there’s always good fun and good conversation.
spending time together
We all love pinics as it’s a great way to explore the outdoors. It really is fab to see my kids playing, looking for bugs/wildlife or lying down making shapes out of the clouds – it never fails to keep my 2 happy!
Being in the sunshine and fresh air!!
My favourite thing about picnics is spending time with my family, all sat round together enjoying food and fun
I love picnics because I love eating outside with the kids and love sandwiches and strawberrys 🙂
I have said hello on fb
Laying on the blanket and looking up at the clouds, trying to find animals and funny shoes with my little son, perfect times and days that should be cherished
The sounds of nature, the cool breeze, the laughter, time together, and most importantly, food! 😀
The best thing has got to be being able to eat outside in the fresh air with family and friends. Good food, good company and good weather!
I love the food, picnic food is the best. I like to eat it as soon as I get there, I can’t wait hehe!
The best thing is having quality time with close friends and family in the great weather
The best thing is pork pies! Its the only time I allow myself to have them so I have as many picnics as I can in the summer lol!
For me it’s about being together with the people I care about, eating the food I’ve prepared, kicking back and being daft and just “being”
There’s no rules, no need to rush. You can catch up properly, find out new things about each other and press the record button in your head to never forget it. It’s more than food outside, it’s a Moment.
It’s something to look back on for many reasons, and make you nostalgic and misty eyed or just to have a secret smile over, or send you into fits of giggles on the bus.
…Pass me the chicken drumsticks xxx
I love getting away from everything with a picnic, taking the family and taking everything you need and going somewhere secluded or even somewhere really busy (but with no need to go and get anything) and enjoying quality time with family and sometimes friends. As if there is no other care in the world other than a picnic with good company!
The best and most mind-boggling thing about having a picnic is that my kids suddenly develop a willingness to eat things that if I presented INSIDE a house would be simply laughed at. But I watch as they tuck into salads and houmous, crispbreads and carrot sticks!! I mean, its just unbelievable!! I think psychologists should look into this phenomenon immediately
The best thing about a picnic is the additional fun that eating in the fresh air and open outdoors brings to a meal. Picnics are always a winner in this house!
Relaxing in a visit to the countryside with my two children; the feel of the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, the sound of the birds in the trees and being back in Wales once more
The best thing about a picnic is the food! I love all those little picky-bits 🙂
Siting in the park, fresh air, the smell of the grass, sandwiches, juice or wine, some nice scones. And watching people running like mad from the wasps trying to steal their juice.
The best thing about picnics is they feel like an adventure, and not just for the little ones 🙂
The best thing about a picnic is the excitement it brings for my children. As soon as the nice weather spell we had last week started, my daughter asked “Can we have a picnic now it’s sunny, Mummy?” And indeed we did, at a lovely country park a short drive away from home, followed by another picnic in our back garden the next afternoon! Just also sent a comment on your Facebook page 🙂
Eating together as a family
The view – you get to choose a view that you can’t get from a building.

The atmosphere and being with loved ones is what Summer is all about, whether you’re in or out!.
The sharing of food and drink between friends and family.
Squashed soggy cheese and tomato sandwiches
The best thing about a picnic is, being able to choose a beautiful place to enjoy and eat lots of nice treats, living on The Isle Of Wight, there are plenty of places to choose, the beach is my favourate with my family and the dog!!!
The excitement on my daughters face, when it’s a picnic day there are no limits to where we will go or how long for. my daughters love it x
Childhood memories. Proper SAND-wiches on the beach, warm squash, grannies malt loaf and sitting on blankets on bumpy bits of sheep poo!!
Seriously the time with the family, relaxing, doing stuff together that doesnt cost the earth that to me is priceless!!
Best thing is leaving the kids with grandparents and enjoying the peace and serenity of your picnic spot with your partner away from the screaming, shouting, tantrums and finger poking from the little demons.
togetherness on the outdoors we love it x
Fresh air and good food! And being able to spend some quality family time out of the house.
great food sunshine and time with friends and family
the best thing about picnics is the quiche, followed by watching the little ones run riot then crash into a lovely nap whilst we relax (also liked you on fb x) x
The best thing about picnics for me is that you can snack on them all day long, no having to wait in long queues and struggle to find a table.
I love picnics, eating in the fresh air makes food extra special. I like putting a picnic together, making little cakes and sandwiches getting the kids in the car and stopping somewhere gorgeous to enjoy.
The best bit about a picnic is making it up with your children and getting them involved and then having a relaxing and great time on a fanastic picnic
The best thing about a picnic, is spending time together as a family, whether you are in a park, woodland, countryside or in your back garden!
Having a full day outside in the sun with the kids, foods for them to snack on throug out the day while we are all having fun
Picnics are always a great day out with the kids. We find so many new places to explore, lunch in hand.
Our family picnics are going to be a big part of childhood memories 🙂
I love the fact there’s no washing up, just shove all the rubbish in a bag and you’re done.
It’s a good way to relax and spend time with the people we care about. It doesn’t take long to prepare so is quick and easy. It’s good to appreciate the great outdoors. x
Getting sunburnt , stung by nettles & wasps , chased by a raging bull, struck by lightning during a summer storm , eating warm & weeping sandwiches , getting ants in your pants but most of all getting out in the fresh air and enjoying yourself!
The best thing about a picnic, is being with family and friends, althoguh its great to enjoy food outside theres nothing better thsn bonding with your children eeven if it does mean youve got flys and bugs on you. Watching the kids smile and play in the sun is the best thing a mother can have.
Hello, I would love to win as I am pregnant and this will be perfect for relax in the park.
The best thing about a picnic is you can be spontaneous and it can happen anywhere – great to have a picnic in the garden with the grandchildren or even sitting under a blanket in the front room playing make believe its not raining.
popped over and liked the baby budgeting page and said hello
The best thing about a picnic has to be not having to clean up after. I have an 8 month old little girl and you can imagine the mess she makes with her food haha! At least if we are outdoors the crumbs can be left for the birds :o)
Being in the open air with those I love – and not having to worry about spillages and crumbs
Wasps – NOT!!

Fresh air and space
Sitting on the grass in the countryside enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
sunshine, bird songs and sandwiches…………..
Love picnics especially the freedom it gives us. You can have a picnic anywhere from the town centre to the beach. Of course the more beautiful parts of the countryside make picnics even more pleasurable but we’ve had picnics in airport lounges as well as the grounds of stately homes.
The best thing about a picnic- poem
A picnic can be in the park with a best friend,
You can sit there and eat till the days end.
A picnic with your brother, sister or someone you love,
the peace and quiet, the sign of a dove.
So I think a picnic is a box with a meaning,
The best thing about a picnic is the faces that is gleaming.

I love being outside, watching the world go by with my husband and our little boy. Eating a mini buffet of lovely picnic foods and then finishing off with a kick about of the football – just add sunshine for a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

The best thing about a picnic is no matter what you have to eat, it always tastes nicer when eaten as a picnic outside, and ther’s less mess to clear up!

For me the best bit is being able to pack up lots of nibble food so being able to pick at this and pick at that and nobody knowing how much you have actually eaten 😉

Sitting on the grass among the flowers. With the smell of freshly cut grass near by. One of the best things in the world.
The best thing about having a picnic is enjoying food with friends and family out in the open
Getting away from it all and spending a rare romantic couple of hours with my husband.
