I have written before a number of times on tips to save money at the supermarket and there are some basic rules that we should all adhere too such as…
Taking a list
Not shopping when you are hungry
Not taking kids
Having a meal plan
Keeping focussed whilst we are there
Checking the use by dates
Considering own brand
Buying fruit from the back
Hopefully these supermarket shopping tips are absolutely ingrained by now and you are all staying on budgeting track with your supermarket shopping. I struggle with temptation so personally I tend to do mine online. Sometimes this will mean I miss bargains but actually I think it saves me in the long run.
One aspect of budgeting with the supermarkets hop that is new to me however is discount codes. Most savvy financial folk might head you off in the direction of budget supermarkets but its well worth considering having a bit of s swap around considering hat discount codes are out there.
I have just found one for Waitrose with £30 off your first £100 shop. Now THAT is a great saving. If you have never had a Waitrose delivery before you will be SO impressed with it. The food is uber fresh and the service second to none.
Waitrose discount codes also extend to money off 2nd 3rd, 4th and 5th shops as well as discount codes for Christmas shops. So don’t just automatically think you have to head to Aldi or Lidl for great supermarket deals, why not have a little look at grocery discount codes instead.

I really want to shop at Waitrose just to give it a try but they don’t deliver in my area 🙁
