Morrisons has more in store bakers than any other supermarket . It produces more than 40 million loaves each
year. They have just have relaunched their bakery range to include more than 70 new and improved products including delicious artisan breads and pastries. I am a huge bread fan and it was my absolute pleasure to be asked to review some. When I arrived to collect my review samples they were just coming out the oven. They smelt so good and were lovely and warm.
Here is what I tried….
Honey & Sunflower Star
This is a honey enriched bread which has tons of nutty sunflowers in it and its a truly yummy tear and share bread. It is £1.59 and will feed 8.
Tiger Paw (70p or 2 for £1)
This is an all out favoutite. Perfect for kids, this tear and share bread has a unique crusty mottled exterior, and it has tear off rolls in the shape of a tiger’s paw, my kids adored it.
Chocoate twist (2 for £1)
These are just the most gorgeous buttery chocolate pastries. I had one with a strong black coffee delicious!
Sourdough Boule (£1.59)
Perfect for big door step sandwiches or dipping in soup. Very filling.
We also tried some olive focaccia bread and some seasalt and rosemary focaccia. We had never tried this before and it was an interesting, unusal taste.
Our verdict: A lovely range, great value and so fresh!
ours sell a “wheat, spelt and rye” loaf, it is soooooo soft and delicious, and I eat dry bread and this just melts in your mouth. and more to the point it stays fresh for the best part of a week
