Are you looking for cool things to do in Liverpool, if you are you’ll be delighted to know I have some awesome suggestions for you here today.
Inspired by this incredible blog post at Skiddle that shares the best Liverpool has to offer, I have chosen some of my favourite budget conscious options.
Concert square
Concert square is one of the ultimate places to hang out in Liverpool and reflects the vibe of the city. Locals call it Canny Square and it is buzzing, surrounded by bars and food establishments it has tons of outside seating and great music.
It is the place to meet!
Formby beach
Just a tiny trip outside the centre of Liverpool takes you to the sandy beaches and clear waters of Formby – who knew it was so close or so beautiful? A cheap and easy way to get away form the busy, buzzy Liverpool vibe.
The World Museum
The incredible World Museum in Liverpool is also well worth a visit. There you can discover incredible objects from around the world, explore outer space and meet live creatures! They have a wonderful bee survival exhibit on right now where you can immerse yourself in the sounds and sights of bees.
Liverpool cathedral
If you are after a little quiet time amidst the hustle and bustle of Liverpool’s shops and restaurants a few minutes spent inside the cathedral will bring you a little peace. The tower is 100m high and, if you have the energy to climb it, it will reward you with the most awesome views.
And finally, a little pricier but worth it …
Beatles Magical Mystery Bus Tour
How can you possibly think of going to Liverpool and not doing something beatle-y? This saves you getting lost and guides you hand by hand through is 2-hour city tour. It starts at the worl famous Albert Docks then explores each of the Beatles their childhood homes, schools, and of course, THE Penny Lane. End the day at the cavern club where the Beatles played to really immerse yourselves in their lives (and have a dance too of course!)
This is juts a tiny taste of what Liverpool has to offer. Liverpool is an interesting city, packed with history, music, great food and awesome buildings and one well worthy of a visit!
