7 Christmas eve traditions

Do you get or give new pjs on Christmas eve?

What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

It’s a Christmas tradition in our house that you get cosy new Pj’s to wear on Christmas eve. We have some other really lovely Christmas Eve tradition too.

We unwrap them after lighting our memory candle (for all those we have loved and lost) and sending up a kiss for each and everyone. This way they are still part of our Christmas.

and one of us always reads out loud the marvellouse poem the Night before Christmas.

Once the new PJ’s are opened and on we throw a little magic reindeer dust outside to light Santa’s way. Have look here how to make magic reindeer dust

We then pop out Rudolph carrots and Santa’s milk and mince pie and it’s to bed.

We have always done his.

Then before bed I tell them the story of the nativity using our lovely wooden nativity set – this is my favourite part

Some years if there is any money left J and I  get new PJ’s too!

I have to say I am a bit in love with this reindeer onesie

Do you any christmas eve traditions ?

Did you know I have a Christmas category here on the blog?
