Today – How to make Magic Reindeer Dust & Reindeer Dust Poem
Christmas eve traditions
Christmas eve is such an absolutely magical time, isn’t it? Do you have traditions on Christmas eve? In our family, we spend the day at my brother in-laws eating good food and playing games. Then we got to Christingles service with my aunty at her church. After that, we come home and I read the iconic poem The night before Christmas and the children receive a small gift and a new book.
Then we prepare for Santa. My favourite part – we make our Magic Reindeer Dust & Reindeer Dust Poem in advance all ready to go!
How we prepare for Santa
We prepare for Santa by putting together a plate of carrots for Rudolph and a little bowl of water plus a mince pie and glass of milk for Santa. Then we sprinkle our Reindeer Dust and read our reindeer dust poem.
We know how to make magic reindeer dust so we use a batch we have made ourselves and we use the same reindeer dust poem each year

How to make Eco reindeer dust
Glitter can be added if you don’t have much local wildlife and if you are really green you may want to use little baby jars to store the dust in. Totally up to you. The idea is it lights the way for the reindeer and gives them a little back on Christmas Eve. children love to sprinkle this outside on Christmas Eve. Be sure to attach the following poem and have a little read out loud before the sprinkling.
Reindeer Dust Poem
Sprinkle on the ground at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.Isnt that the cuteste reindeer dust poem!
