Just wanted to share this little competition with you from Energyrethinking. Energyrethinking aims to inspire and encourage everyone to use energy more wisely and save money at the same time. They think that energy saving is
about more than flicking switches and changing light bulbs and have a lot of good ideas to share – from industry, academia, government and non-governmental organisations
Their site contains lots of practical ways of rethinking our energy habits. Well worth a look
Here is their competiton:
An old idea whose time has come…back. In the 1970s, no self-respecting homemaker would be without a
SodaStream, that era’s version of Guy Hugh Gilbey’s (of Gilbey gin) “Apparatus for aerating liquids.” It fell below the radar for a while but now, energy conscious consumers are rediscovering the advantages of fizz-it-yourself
bevvies and home made sparkling water. It makes good sense when you consider that one reusable SodaStream bottle can keep up to 2,000 ordinary cans and bottles from ending up in landfills.

As part of Sodastream’s “A world without bottles” campaign, we’ve got two stylish, limited edition machines, worth about £120 each, to give
away.
Answer this question to win one:
Andrew and Christian went on a car free, cycling holiday in France.
What DIDN’T they see as they rolled across Normandy – (choose one)
- A food market
- A girl in a green swimsuit
- A blue flag beach
- Other cyclists
Send your answer, in an email with SODASTREAM as the subject line, to
info@energyrethinking.org by noon, 15 August. Remember to include your full
name, email address and telephone number. All correct answers will be entered in
a draw from which two winners will be selected at random
This machine does look stylish!
Imagine the money saved and the planet on regular bottles of pop
Having grown up in this era I distinctively remember soda streams and my desire to have one, sadly we didn’t as they were too expensive (according to my mum!), so would love the opportunity to own one now – this one looks awesome!
