Walking with Kids

Today – Walking with Kids

Do you walk your kids to school, do you walk as a family ?

Well as I told you ar the start of the week it has been walk to school week this week. We have had a good go at walking a bit more and when driving parking further away.. The kids have moaned a bit but we have swung and sung and played eye spy. The fresh air has done us good but time is not our friend!

I do resolve come September when both kids are in school and I don’t have to rush off after drop off for some other activity we will be walking much more. It has been fun. Here are the kids in their yellow smocks kindly provided by Kia ready to go!

i think they look super cute but i bet they make me delete this pic when they are older!

Walking with kids – top tips

I have also just been sent a fab book called Walking with Kids – games and activities to make walking fun by Angela Youngman. It is packed to the bri with ideas such as having fun walking in the rain-catching raindrops in a jar and seeing who gets the most, listening to a trees heartbeat and map reading. It is packed to bursting with ideas and has chapters on games, word games, arts and crafts, what to look for and things to do, walking in towns and the seaside.  Your kids need never be bored walking again.

Have a look at my post on how to make walking less boring for more inspiration to keep all of you entertained whilst you walk. You might also like my post on walking whilst pregnant
