Today – The Beauty Department at John Lewis Nottingham 

John Lewis in Nottingham is a lovely store.

It is light and bright and packed with gorgeousness. On of my best friends world works there and is always tempting me in with tales of lovely new things. They have amazing services likes free personal styling and beauty treatments. They won’t be beaten on prize. Their cafe is delicious and they even have an espresso bar. What more do they need?

Well it just so happens on Wednesday with my fellow Notts bloggers Amanda and Penny I was invited to the relaunch of their beauty department. They have had a refit and acquired some new brands and they wanted (quite rightly!) to show it off.

It is rather swish. We had a glass of champagne and a tour and then we got a little talk on beauty essentials by  beauty blogger Jen Holmes from A Little Bird told Me

Taking Jen’s advice I zipped over to the lovely, welcoming Clinique counter and purchased a Curvy Candy Chubby stick lippie which I am in love with!

The counters on the beauty department have all been widened and opened up to give customers more room and to make the makeup more accessible. I had a lovely consultation with Jane who was full of advice and so helpful .

I adore their new layout. far less cramped and the who feel is bright, airy and luxurious.

 New additions to the department include Origins, Bare Minerals and Bobbi Brown. Penny and Amanda had an ‘instant update’ at Bobbi Brown and it was amazing how fab it was for just a brief make up session.

The whole refit only took a month but it is transforming. It looks so up to date and there is a lovely range. Whether you fancy booking into one of their lovely treatment rooms (3 now!) or buying a little pot of nail inc. varnish I am sure you will have a lovely time visiting this gorgeous beauty department!
