Any kids? 4, aged 24, 22 and 4 year old twins

Do you work? FT/PT? I work freelance as editor for the BritMums blog

Why do you work? To add a few pennies to our family purse and to keep myself busy

What are your child care arrangements? I take care of my kids myself and work around their needs

How do you manage for money? We manage but it’s tight

Do  you worry about money? Yes all the time

What do you waste money on? Not a lot, we’re really quite strict

Have you made any big financial changes since having kids? Plenty, we go without in order to have a happy family

How do you make extra cash? Freelance writing, sponsored posts

Can you share 3 top budgeting tips for other parents?

1. Try not to throw any food out at all, always think of how else it can be used and rotate the cupboards to avoid stuff going out of date

2. Put all loose change in a money box throughout the year and empty it when it’s holiday time or Christmas, you’d be surprised how much can be saved up.

3. Organise your meals around the offers found in supermarkets, take advantage of discounts and special offer
