I reviewed Playskool’s gloworm a few weeks ago and they have very kindly given me another to competition off. so here is that review again in case you missed it followed by the Q.
My daughter has always slept with a variety of cuddly toys, a different one most nights as the mood takes her. Playskool then sent me Gloworm and she has not been out of Annalise’s bed since. Gloworm gives off a warm light and a selection of lullabies and both gently fade away. Lisi plays them for a while and hums along is clearly conforted by the light. (It comes in blue or pink and takes 3 x AA batteries.
We no longer need to leave the hall light on. She and Gloworm have formed a very happy friendship. Lisi is 3. I wish we had had one of these earlier but I have a feeling they will be firm pals for some time to come. (Currently on amazing offer: £7.49 at Argos)

My favourite teddy was called Teddy. When I was 3 and my brother was 1, he had an operation and I felt scared for him so I let him cuddle Teddy to make him feel better. Unfortunately, my mum thought I wanted my brother to have Teddy! I didn’t have the heart to say I wanted him back as my brother was so happy but I did cry myself to sleep that night!
My brother is now 25 and still has him (and I still miss my Teddy).

My oldest friend is my knitted rabbit Billy. He was named after the line in Waltzing Matilda which, at the age of 3, I misinterpreted as “he waited for his Billy Boy”. He lives in my chest of drawers in my bedroom and still gets cuddles although, at the age of fifty, I no longer suck my thumb.

I was given a little dog when I was 4 for Christmas I took him everywhere! I called him Bill as my sister was a big Rupert Bear fan and Bill was his best friend.
I think his head must have come off 4 or 5 times split seams all over the place but I always stiched him back up. My mums friend made new clothes for him (to hold the stuffing in!) and now 26 years later he sits on my bedside table in a mini arm chair not to be touched! Then to my amazement last year I was in a local charity shop and found an identical “Bill” good as new!! couldn’t believe it! My 4 year old daughter now has a special friend of her own

I got a white polar bear at birth and loved it so much my mum had to sew the leg back on 3 times! I still have it safe and sound at home.

A small plain teddy by the name of Sooty (don’t know why as he was a golden colour). He was bought for me by my father when I was a couple of days old and spent every night with me until I got married. He was my best friend, listening to all my moans, anxieties and joys. He is now 50 and quite threadbear, still much loved and never too faraway, although he doden’t share my bed anymore.
I had a Roland Rat cuddly toy and still have! About 5 years ago my auntie found one at a boot sale and brought it for me because it had been 20 years since I’d had my first one.
When I was really little I never really had a teddy to cuddle so my big brother bought me for my 4the birthday.. and it is the best teddy in the world! It went everywhere with me… I even took it to university..not only because it was so cuddly but because it was a special present from my big brother. As I type this my new baby girl is cuddlying it upstairs for her morning nap.. its a bit battered and smelly but to be honest.. I would love it back so if i won the glow worm -that would be a great trade for I think and then I might get my favourite teddy back!! (Either that or I can replace it with the glow worm… not sure what my hisband would think!)

I had a white Popple (remember those? They were an 80’s toy that folded into its own pouch) that went everywhere with me. Unfortunately an incident involving a long car journey, travel sickness and the resulting wash in a washing machine, meant that his lovely soft fur went hard and rough and its hair matted.
I had a brown teddy bear which my nan gave to me when I was only 2 months old. My fav toy, which I still have, was/is wo wo, a doggie which was made by blind people ina home. My grandad bought it for me when I was a baby and I have never let it go since. He is a bit tired now so lives on top of my wardrobe x
There were 2 (they were an item! Or a matching set kind of thing) – Little Ted and Tinkerbell. They were both made of white sheepskin (or a very good quality fur). Little Ted had a really big yellow scarf that he used to wear that grandma knitted for him – it was about 2 inches wide and about 2 foot long (the bear was only about 8inches tall), so it was wrapped around his neck very many times.
Tinkerbell was a squirrel – so called as she had a red ribbon with a bell on around her neck (don’t think it would be allowed these days – choking hazard or similar) – anyway, I survived. However, later in life I used to look at my squirrel and realised that it could probably be, in fact it probably was, a cat! ( I know, difficult to imagine how you could get the 2 confused – if I ever unearth Tinkerbell I will put up a picture and let you decide – haven’t seen her for many years though, so she could have got misplaced somewhere along the way)
My favourite cuddly toy was a cuddly dog that I called Scamper. 30 year later he still has pride of place on (and in!) my bed, much to the bemusement of my boyfriend!
I am probably the only one here who does not remember anything about my toys. I do remember I loved books from a very tender age, but toys- I cannot remember anything!

I don’t remember having any cuddly toys but do remember i had a square of sheet i would never be without and hated when mum washed it.
When my son was small i bought him a gorilla from a zoo in Tenerife so as you can imagine when it fell to bits it was very hard to replace and he would not have a different one, when i managed to find one similar i stocked up and bout 3 so i could swap them over without him knowing. he only found out last year as i have kept the last one and i told his girlfriend the story and she spilled the beans .. even at 20 he sulked!
My fave was my chic a boo. My mum threw him out when a his stuffing fell into his legs and I never forgave her for it! She even bought me a similar monkey typoe teddy years later but it was never the same 🙁
Loopy Lou from Andy Pandy – think she still in my mum’s loft
I had a brown bear who had no name. I dropped him over my nans fence one day and sobbed my heart out, but she went round to the peoples house and got him back for me. I still have him to this day, although he’s a bit thread bare (or should that be thread bear?? sorry)

My favorite toy was the Womble Madame Cholet, when I was five years old I went missing on wimbledon common for 2 hours with my little friends looking for the wombles and my mum was beside herself as you can imagine. We laugh about it now but I must have really scared her at the time, sorry mum.
I had (and still have) a yellow teddy with a shiney black nose and a squeak that works when it wants to. My nanna made this for me when I was born and I love it more now as it brings lovley memories flooding back.
I had a grey teddy bear called Paul. I don’t know why he was called Paul but I played with him all the time and learnt to sew making clothes for him when I was about 10. He is very battered looking now
A teddy that belonged to my mum. Very threadbare and tatty and not at all cuddly, it had jointed arms and legs. Cannot remember what happened to it!
My favourite soft toy (and I still have her and she sits on a chair in my bedroom) was a cuddly panda bear style soft toy with a red ribbon around her neck. I couldn’t say Panda when I was very small so I called her Pandarer! And to this day, she is still called Panderer!
Dylon the rabbit! Hes still knocking around 30 years on , a bit less colour & a bit more scruffy!

My fave cuddly toy was a dolly my granny knitted me called annie, my daughter has her now.
A handmade teddy, a relative made him for me when I was born, I still have him, dispite a terrible accident where he got burnt in the tumble dryer!
I had 5 best friends, all of whom slept with me in a single bed. 3 teddy bears, one doll and a toy dog. Not much room left for me!
I was given a teddy when I was born 4 weeks early. I still have it now. It’s a little brown teddy with a pink tummy. I have slept with it on my bed since I was little and it means the world to me as it was my first ever present that looked over me while I was in hospital as a new born
My godmother gave me a cuddly dog pyjama case when I was about 4, I never used it for my pyjamas, though I occasionally hid my blankey in the little compartment, and sometimes couldnt remember where I’d left it!
Mine was my Charlie Chimp monkey I took him everywhere!
Aaaawww my fav was always ‘big Ted’ I still have him now and you can tell he’s been well loved with all the operations he has had (lots of thread showing where seams needed mended). Even though I loved my dolls and all things Pink, Ted is Grey.
My favourite cuddly toy was my Care Bear – Baby Tugs Bear, a little blue bear in a nappy! I have to admit I still have him hid away in a rather sorry state somewhere in the garage 😀
When I was litle I had a little fabric doll that I named “lollypops” and she was dragged everywhere with me from my parents bed to nursery school. I couldn’t sleep with out her. Last year when moving house after getting married, I emptied a box and there was Lollypops who now lives in my forever memory box.

Mine was a care bear called Bedtime bear, who I still have today!
I had a brown bunny rabbit pyjama case with floppy ears called Soona, no idea why she was called that. I remember I used to pretend to feed her then I would stuff the belly with clothes or PJ’s so she looked full and happy. I used to keep ribbons and christmas bows and tie them around her ears like hair bobbles. And she was the only cuddly toy I had on my bed all of the rest weren’t as impotant and were only on the floor or wardrobe. I got her as a present for my 1st birthday and still have her, saving for my granddaughter due in Feb !!
Mine was a hand made bear I called Kevin I still have him to this day and my son loves playing with me even if he is looking a little worse for wear

Lady (the plush doggy from Lady & the Tramp)! My Aunt sent her over from America and I loved her so much… after a hair cut (from my brother) and lots of washing and hugging she looked a little less Lady-like but up until the age of 7 I took her everywhere with me. She was lovingly restuffed twice and lost an eye along the way, but still has a place in my daughters heart… she is sat at the end of her cot as I type x
My favourite is a white (well more grey now) teddy called Rosie. My Dad bought her for me on the day I was born, so she’s now 37yrs old. I have recently passed her on to my Daughter as my Daughter lost her favourite cuddly when we were out on her birthday last year, my little girl was heart broken and couldn’t get to sleep so in the end I gave her Rosie on the condition she doesn’t take her out.side.
