It’s so interesting to know what children know isn’t it? Sometimes they are just so much more clued up than we think and sometimes they so aren’t!
This week we are asking Ruby, 7 year old daughter of Jen Stanbrook (blogger at LoveChicLiving) what she knows about money.
Do you get pocket money?
How much do you get?
Do you think that is enough?
How much do you think you should get?
What do you spend it on?
Save it, spend on anything like sweets, toys and books
What do think Mummy earns each year?
How much do you think Daddy earns each year?
How much do you think Mummy’s car cost?
How much do you think we spend on food each week?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
What do you think that job pays?
If mummy gave you £100 what would you spend it on?
magazines, sweets, chocolate, books and toys
What do you think Being Thrifty means?
What is your best money saving tip?
save money by not buying so many treats
Do you think we should give some of our money to charity?
Thanks you Ruby!
These answers are getting a little more sensible as the children get older!
Love that she wants a 25p pocket money raise and seems to understand the price food. Understanding wages is a different matter though isn’t it ! Ruby mentions savings a few times in this interview…teaching her well Jen!
