I have to say I don’t often shop online (except for groceries) so despite knowing about the value of voucher codes they have never hugely impacted me. A little while ago I went to White Stuff ( I love their garden shed dressing rooms!) to buy something specifically that I had seen online. Because they didn’t have it in store they gave me voucher code to use online and I got 15% off. Well, ever the budgeter, I loved getting 15% off. It has set me down the path of looking to see what else I could get voucher codes for and wow there’s LOADS of them out there.

Why do shops use discount codes?
According to netvouchercodes.co.uk
‘Savvy UK consumers are using vouchers more than ever to get an immediate discount. Shoppers rarely pay full price anymore! With competition between retailers stronger than ever, product pricing is key. Even a few pounds can make the difference between getting a sale or not so codes give marketing managers within retail the flexibility to offer tactical discounts’
Well it makes sense and it’s brilliant for the consumer. There are quite a few discount voucher sites out there so it’s worth trying a few to see which layout you like best. On most of them you can search by brand or by product or you can just browse the discounts.
I just typed Mothercare into a code site and found out there was 4 days left on their 50% sale and that there is currently £10 off snowsuits. How cool!
A perfect shopping buddy
At netvouchercodes.co.uk you can pop in the name of any store you like and as soon as a voucher at that store comes active they will email you to let you know, saving you searching. It’s like having a virtual shopping buddy who knows all the best deals.
I think I could get quite addicted to checking out discount vouchers before I shop!
A little while ago I posted a cool infographic on voucher codes.
