Review: Speedo – Learn to swim website and product range

Speedo sent me some products to trial with my children which I want to show you but I also want to tell you about their fab Learn to Swim website which features Speedo’s Sea Squad characters are a fun way to get babies, toddlers and young children confident about swimming

The website has interactive games and safety quizzes, whilst Olympic Gold Medallist Rebecca Adlington gives her own advice on introducing children to swimming. ( I do love Rebecca she is so normal and yet so amazing. She lives quite near us and I havbe told both my kids about her and her amazing gold medals before.)

The new site,  features the exciting adventures of the cool and colourful Speedo Sea Squad characters Pufferfish, Octopus and Shark, Children can access ganes and  goodies such as door hangers featuring favourite Sea Squad characters, a wallchart to track their swimming progress, fun pictures to colour in, and even a Sea Squad origami toy to print and build! Do take a look with your kids.

For parents, there are detailed video tutorials online and printable guides to use on visits to the pool. From Stage One, ‘Start Splashing’, through the next phase, ‘Start Swimming’ and finally, ‘Get Confident’, mum and dad can keep a record of their child’s progress by ticking off individual achievements, with the option to link to their Facebook account and share their child’s progress with family and friends. The site also provides guidance and advice on how products within the Learn to Swim range work, and how they can be used to help develop a child’s swimming ability throughout the three stages of the programme.

How cool is that? .Often with swimming I have often felt really unable to help my kids learn..not having much clue where to start. So I just tend to play and leave the teaching to their swim teachers. It is nice to have some tips to help them.

I have to say I have been swimming 3 times in 5 days ( it is half term) the kids are loving their new products and keen!

Sea Squad Duive Sticks £11

These dive sticks are light, bright and colourful. My son has been doing lots of underwater swimming and big jumps in to find them. At the gran dold age of 6 he was finding his little animal shaped ones a bit babysih. These are funky and easy to see too. A big hit.

Sea Squad Armbands £7

Lovely easy to inflate arm bands and even though we are now trying to encourage my 3 year old to be arm band free she every so often wants the security. particularly with her big brother splashing about! These are OVC free and really light and non rubbery so much more comfy.

Boys Sea Squad Minikick £7

This si a fab flot that has really helpe dmy little boy with his kicking and my dughter get in a front luying rather than half standing position. Its also fits in mour swim bag.Result!

Girls sea Squad Poncho £16

Great for the for beach, pool or home Measures 75cm x 150cm and is 100% cotton. Bright and lots of fun and oh-so-useful to just fling over a swimsuit.

But my favourite product sent for us to trial?

The junior goggles also come in blue and green and they are great. Really well made, cheaper than a lot of goggles and they are asily adjustable form the back not the sides. Much better for little ones as it isnt near their eyes. Much less likely to break. A great piece of kit.

I am impressed by the quality of all these products and  the fabulous website.
