Planning for the Easter Holidays

I do love it when the kids are off school but I have learned from experience that endless days doing nothing specific don’t suit my two (not sure why but they free play great for a while then bing! it all goes pear shaped.)  Free time woven into a good plan is always a good idea for us so I have filled the diary with some set events to keep them on track.

Asda have some fab Disney videos (£10) in store and one we have adored to watch is Tangled so we were delighted to be sent this to review. My daughter had an early evening date booked in with granny to watch it when my son has a football match scheduled (a little peace for me too!). If you haven’t seen Tangled you really should It is delightfully funny and the horse will have you in stitches, the heroine is feisty and there are lots of great scenes. Its a Disney classic.

I have also planned lots of playdates..always a good way to occupy one child whilst getting someone an one time with the other.

We have also planned a free trip to the local art gallery, an Easter egg hunt at Grandpas, swimming, 3 birthday parties (so lots of card making to0 and den building (for just £3) at our local country park.

We have a bike ride booked in the diary as well as trip to the library and we can be fluid with these depending on the weather. We get the library in early though so we can have lots of books to read over the 2 weeks off.

I have baking for Easter planned too and lots of crafting and can pull these out the bag as I need too. You have to have a bonnet right?

I also have a secret bag  with charity shop books and games in for when I need it!

So lots of relaxing fun for us over Easter but a nice schedule too.

If you are going to be going away as  family why not have a look at Tots Too as they know all about making family holidays special.

What do you have planned?

That’s some awesome planning, but what kind of crafty things do you do with them? Other than making the bonnet (which looks fab) of course!

We are going to stay with Little A’s granny, and trying to pack in lots of play dates dates too!

Love the idea of having a secret charity shop bag of game and toys for emergencies. I love a good charity shop find – most of my clothes including everything I’m wearing today are charity shop finds. You’ve inspired me to work on an emergency bag too.
