Playing shops and learning lots
My children have always come with me to the supermarket, helped me load the washing machine and do bits and bobs around the house. Just enough for them to know that part of being of a family involves taking a little care of our home. They have always enjoyed being involved and much more so if I have given them little tasks, such as holding the shopping list or separating white from coloured clothes (I speak from experience always DOUBLE CHECK this!) I often find the kids role playing such jobs in their play too….do yours?
This is an extract from my Chad Valley Endless Play blog post this week. Do click through to read the rest it focuses on role play and learning as we play, hoep you enjoy it!
