July Round up – Mums taking care of themsleves.

Wow July’s blog has been packed full of information to support mms taking care of themselves. Thank you to everyone who contributed and commented. You have helped develop a truly wonderful resorurce bank of budgeting ideas for mums self care.


Firstly I launched my own personal challenge . I have 70lbs worh of post baby weight to lose ( 3 years on!) so I have been logging my weight loss and exercise throughout July and I will continue to do so  till I have nothing left to lose of the 70lb. I have lost 11 so far! Post s on walking back to healthiness and walking back to relaxation provide us with the most budget friendly of exercise ideas. The talented exercise guru Claire Mockridge give good advice in a feature on exercise on a budget for a new mum


For stressed out mums we have had a brilliant article on aromtherapy for mums. We had Grace Marhsalls fab free e-book course from burnout to brillaint  and the lovely, wise Emma Button shared her secrest of parenthood the mellow way. Mums forever and a plce to rest  discussed the importance of mums taking breaks from parenting and seeing the big oicture in mums forever and a place to rest by journalist Deborah Dooley


This subject arose again and again and is clearly a missing concept  close to many a mums heart. The always on the go Maggie Woodley wrote about how to get a bit more mummy me time and life coach Grace Marshall shared some top tips on taking care of mum. We had Empoweing Mums Tracey Wall share her ebook on time for busy mums which I reviewed. I hope you all have enough time to read all this!

Practical stuff

As mums we always need to be sensible (sigh) so with that in mindhere is some vital advice about looking after your breasts from   bra firring guru TJ Hughes. We also have some sound babysitting on a budget advice from former social worker …me!

Being gorgeous

Feeling and looking gorgeous is the oldest trick in the book to feeling good..it may be superficial but it does a great job. Heres 10 top tips on dressing well on a budget and some more top tips on getting beach ready fast on a budget!    Taking just 20 minutes a day to take care of you and your appearance is a great piece of advice for Chrlotte yan (who is truly gorgeous)  and mummy make up on a budget is packed full of top tip ideas.

    I could definitely do with the stressed out mums advice at times!! 70lb is a lot though isn’t it; I think I could manage 1 at the most, my weight is shocking right now!

    My life saving stress buster … knitting! It’s a little trick I learned from my Mum and not only do I find it relaxing, but friends and family are also very appreciative of the results.
