Welcome to the weekly babybudgeting competition. This is one of our best! We have some lovely prizes here today from Argos. I love Argos. I love that you can go and pour over the catalogue without anyone bothering you and find pretty much anything you need and then when you have ordered it, it just appears magically in the shop. I love that you can take a catalogue home or browse online and I think the competitive pricing is brilliant. Good for baby budgeters. They sell everything from bedding to lawn mowers. We always have a catalogue somewhere around: I look at the kitchen gadgets, my son peruses the meccano and my daughter has her eye on the playmobil. They often cut out pictures and make birthday wish lists too; they do get a bit carried away. Argos even sells books and life insurance these days. Here are the fab prizes for one lucky parent PLUS a brilliant runner up prize! First prize:

Cuddles without wriggling!
Snuggling up for some cuddles.
Being responsible for bring up another whole human being is awesome – wondering how they’ll turn out and what difference to the world they might make – who they might one day become.
The cuddles! My 2-year-old son’s favourite place is on my knee – and it’s mine too!
The first cuddle after all that hard work when you are excited and nervous all in one. The best skin on skin cuddle in the world!

cuddles and smiles
Being able to cuddle and love them – my baby is only 12days old and I’m loving every minute of the time I spend with him! 🙂
smiles 🙂
The amazing feeling that this little person that has just appeared in the world is the person you felt kicking, moving, hiccuping for 9 months and who your body nurtured. Its mind boggling!
The amazing amount of love you can feel for such a small person 🙂
The smell of my newborn is absolutely the best! Every new sound she makes gives us such happiness!
unconditional love 🙂
It is very hard to choose one thing, but for me it would have to be cuddles.
Love and cuddles!
watching them grow and learn new things
Holding them against you and smelling and kissing their hair. Everytime i smell my baby’s hair it makes my mouth water.
the total unconditional love they give to you
How they love you unconditionally and trust you just because you are their mum.
Being an insomniac and the surprised look on peoples faces when I tell them that I don’t mind getting up for midnight feeds.
My favourite thing has to be the way Logan has the ability to cheer me up no matter how hard a day at work I’ve had. He always makes me smile with the cute and funny little things he does 🙂
all the smiles
Definitely the snuggles and cuddles ~ They’re like mashed potatoes … You can’t get enough of them ! ! ! x
The best bit is the Journey! All the firsts you get to share, like their first smile, laugh, curl, tooth and so many more. Its such an exciting journey x
watching them change every day+the lovely little sounds they make!!X
Such a difficult question! Everything!
That warm care-bear smiley feeling you get inside when they look at you…
seeing her learn, seeing how everything is a source of wonder and amazement.
What beautiful items, it’s a shame I don’t have a baby or know anyone nearby who has one! Good luck to the entrees.
CJ xx
Watching them develop and grow, knowing that you created them and there part of you 🙂 xx
Definitely the cuddles especially when they snuggle right in to you. Their tiny toes and giggles. The smell of them. Ooh I can’t pick one thing. i love everything about being a Mummy!
It impossible to single it out everything about having a baby is amazing from holding them for the first time the first time. they say mum .the fact that they love you regardless of rverything having a baby is an honour and iam honoured to be having nunber 4 in november
My most favourite thing…..standing with my husband peering into the cot of our sleeping baby and feeling very proud
Ohh that’s a toughie.
For me I think it was breastfeeding. The feeling of complete closeness and that I was all my baby needed in the world. I really missed that closeness when I finally stopped.
My most favourite thing is being there at the birth nothing on this earth can compare to the joy and happiness you feel at seeing the birth of your child hear his fist breath and listen to that first cry.
Then bring him or her home changing nappies and best of all cuddling and keeping them safe.
You just can’t beat it. 🙂

Oh and me!
THE INSTANT LOVE YOU HAVE FOR YOUR BABY!
It probably sounds silly to most but my favourite thing about having a baby is the night time feeds. I love getting up in the middle of the night when everything is so quiet around us – just me and my baby. So so peaceful.
Taking time each day for a cuddle and babytalk !
My favourite thing to do is snuggling together, especially when baby is asleep; so warm and peaceful
the best thing about having a baby is the starts from the first time u see the little black and white scan at 12 weeks, knowing u are growin a baby is over whelming and feeling it grow and kick inside is amazing,i also like the first time u get skin to skin and you have the overwhelming feelings of love for the baby in yoyr arms xxx
There are so many! My best thing is watching his beautiful little personality develop & see him become his own person, knowing that we created him & everything we do affects him….I love that responsibility!
Wow, where to start? I love watching a little human develop from a tiny newborn baby to a little person with a personality!
Cuddle time
I love watching my little baby growing up and finding everything we take for granted, interesting and amusing.
The little things they do that make you smile no matter how tired you are.
Every stage is lovely, hard to pick just one but I think the first time your baby say “mum” you heart just melts :))
My most favourite thing about having a baby are the kisses, giggles and laughs. Also seeing every developmental stage is wonderful.
There are so many things, but being pregnant at the moment I have to say it’s feeling my baby move, from the fluttering feeling I had a few weeks ago to the more defined movements I’m feeling now. When my daughter was born 9 years ago that first look at her and the unbelievable feeling of overwhelming love that just hits you was amazing!
sleeping
I love when my baby grabs my face and gives me a big sloppy kiss!
There are so many wonderful things about having a baby but my favourite is snuggling up for cuddles and feeling more love than you ever thought possible before
Currently pregnant with my first and absolutely love feeling the first movements and knowing that there is a little life inside me 🙂 Can’t wait ’til they are born and in my life and to watch them grow up into a little person!
Has to be cuddle time after theey’ve had a feed and they are all content and snuggling up to you.
The most favourite thing about having a baby is watching her grow a little more each day, becoming her own person with her own behaviours, habits, dislikes and likes & knowing that we created this beautiful little being
The bond you have from the moment they are born
My favourite thing is sniffing her head as I hold her in my arms. I want that smell to last forever it is amazing!
Feeling the miracle of conception changing your body day by day and meeting that little person at their birth.
Too many ‘best’ things to choose just one…but i suppose knowing you created this most wonderful beautifull little creature who makes your heart just burst with love to the point of possible love/devoted craziness has to be top of my list. x
My favourite thing ois cuddling just after they have had a bath wrapped up in a towel
Seeing them grow, learn and change and become a ‘real’ person with their own unique traits.
The momment you first feel you baby’s movements in the womb and build a bond instantly.
Your baby’s first smile every morning, even if they have had a bad night they still wake up and give you a huge smile when they see you. each day is a new day.
The moments of happiness and fun they give you, from birth onwards. I remember when my daughter was born all I could see was these two piercing blue eyes staring at me and from that moment on I realised that this little person was my special little girl.
The moment you find out your pregnant & the range of emotions you experience!
There is too much to single out, but, I just love the weight of a baby in my arms.
Being able to give lots of cuddles is definitely the best thing. I could sit there and do it all day x
knowing you have created a “life” is sooo special!
thanks for as fab comp
Knowing you can use that special word “Mum”
The giggling , it’s infectious 🙂
I’ll find out in 7 months as I’m pregnant with my first but I think it will be the first time you hold your baby, I can’t wait 🙂
holding her in my arms
Knowing a baby is born innocent and needs to be nurtured very carefully. There are so many things I love about having a baby.
I love the closeness of a baby and the special time we have when I breastfeed. To me there isn’t another feeling of being closer and more special to anyone.
hard to choose a favourite but i think the most amazing has to be the first moment you hold your baby, look into its eyes and fall head over heels in love!!
The very best thing is seeing him for the first time and holding his tiny litle body in my arms!
The overwhelming feeling of love you feel for them when they are born and also they smell so gorgeous when they are bathed and clean.
My favourite thing about having a baby is their complete trust in their mum and dad.
Nothing beats the overwhelming sense of unconditional love you feel for your baby.
Somehow just holding them and covering them in little kisses makes everything else in life pale into insignifances.
When their little hands holds one of your fingers!!
My favourite part is the all consuming love you feel everyday. Nothing tops it.
Holding him for the first time and the realisation that you actually made him and everyday has a favourite moment as they grow so quickly
The cuddles, my son has just started to cuddle properly. It’s so magical when he’s upset and he reaches out his little rms, them wraps them tightly around my neck and just clings to me – it makes me feel so loved and needed. I could cuddle him forever!
See tiny fingers and tiny toes,
Bright baby eyes, cute baby nose;
Hear baby gurgles and baby sighs,
As Mom and Dad sing lullabies.
Life is changed, but that’s okay;
It’s fun to spend glad hours each day,
Taking time for all the good
That comes along with parenthood.
That first beautiful smile in the morning, it makes the sleepless nights all worthwhile!
Our baby’s smile just melts my heart
I love it when I pick my baby from Nursery and he instantly recognises me, giving me the biggest smile in the world and putting his arms out. for me to pick him up.. it makes me feel like i’m the most special person in the world.
I love looking and holding my baby. Capturing their unique smell and checking out their tiny feet and hands. My husband not only loves showing off the baby but also the baby gadgets!!!
My most favourite thing about having a baby? Its really simple – I feel complete since he came into my life x
Realising that someone needs you & their life depends on you. You grow up very quickly
My world is complete when my daughter puts her arms around my neck to give me a BIG hug and kisses me with a happy giggle just before I put her to sleep.
Seeing him dance
The first time they break off from a feed to give you a great, big smile! Makes your heart melt!
cant wait to hold my baby boy for the first time! 8 weeks to go!
My most favourite thing about having a baby is seeing parts of my Dad in my daughter. My Dad passed away a while ago but when I look at my daughter I see his eyes and his smile. It makes me realise that Dad had a really special part in making me and that has been passed on to his granddaughter even though he’s not here to see her. Please don’t think this is a sad and morbid comment, it’s not. The fact that I can still see my Dad’s smile every day is a miracle and makes me so happy. Having a baby who is completely unique but also has links to other special people in my life is absolutely fantastic!
The first smile was magical.
The unconditional Iove we feel for her, and the love and joy that we get back.
The first night in hospital when all is quiet and you are feeding your baby and just staring in awe at such a beautiful little baby…. Oooo I feel all broody now!!!! I have had that lovely feeling 6 times over now…. Could easily do it again and again!
