Wayfair have just launched #blogitforward which means if you blog about a good deed in December it could trigger a £50 donation to Habitat for Humanity. I went to a lovely Pay it forward event hosted by Penny last week and we raised money for action aid by having a faux ho ho Christmas fuddle.
Deeds can include any act of kindness, a charitable deed or a well don e high five to a great person you know.
I love this idea!
Our family blog it forward is 3 fold.
My children have both given up having their usual toy advent calender and put the money towards 2 good causes instead
Annalise has chosen SightSavers who work to help blind people see again, and prevent people from going blind wherever they can.
She is writing a story about a little blind girl. if you would like to read her story and make a small donation towards her aim please email with Annalise’s Story in the heading at email@example.com and I will see you get a copy.
Every pound of funding from now till December 15th will be matched by the UK government. Annalise is aiming to riase £120 for them this year so 4 people can have treatment to cure blindness. Wow what a gift.
Frankie is raising money for Friary drop in a local shelter that helps vulnerable and homeless adults. He will spend what he raises on taking them some food which he will shop for in time for Christmas. If you would like to make a food donation towards the care parcel Frankie is going to take and live local that would be MOST welcome too.
As a family we will be making a donation this year to the Roy Stone Trust a new charity started up after the death of my wonderful, talented cousin Roy to support children form disadvantaged backgrounds with a love of music.
Tis the season for giving
