A Wishing Tree Craft Activity for New Year

A Wishing Tree Craft Activity for New Year

I have long believed that tiny hands and nature make the most beautiful and simple art.

Take a look at our Wishing Tree craft activity for New Year.

It involved paint glue, glitter and a cookie cutter and a bit of fallen tree from the garden. It involved little hands, glittery paint everywhere and lots of fun.

Wishing Tree Craft Activity for New Year

The Christmas decorations came down on Friday and our Wishing Tree will be up until New Year. On New Year’s day we will take off the wishing tags and each of us willmake some new years wishes which we shall write on the back. We shall each make…..

A wish for the world

A wish for ourselves

A wish for other people

We shall than put them in a little envelope and store them away with the Christmas decorations. Next year when we get the decorations out we shall open the envelope and see if our wishes have come true.

I saw the Wishing Tree idea on pinterest. It was actually by Cathy James from the creative kids blog Nurture Store who guest posted this ideas over at the notimeforflashcards blog 2 years ago! Thank you Cathy for inspiring us!

This year Cathy has lot of great ideas for creative things to do on New Years Eve for kids  including an angel make a wish tree.

What a lovely idea – and one so simple even a clumsy clod like me couldn’t mess it up. I’ll be making this with the kids on New Year’s Eve
