Today – Milk Bottle Elephants
We have always crafted from our recycling bin…its one of those essentials for a thrifty parent!
Milk bottles, silver foil, egg boxes and cereal packets have all found their way into our arts and crafts projects. I was a little sceptical about the eco craft Go Create sets from Tesco.

What could they add to make our recycling crafting better?
Quite a lot it would seem.
Inside the Milk Bottle Jumbos kit was everything you could need to make 4 wonderful elephants you just needed 4 used milk bottles and some PVA glue.
The shapes of felt were pre-cut and there were clear directions about where to put sequins and what to do in what order. I have to say it worked beautifully and we are absolutely delighted with the results.
At just £3.50 a kit the fact we can make 4 elephants form this does make it good value and the convenience is wonderful. It also encourage recycling which can only be a VERY GOOD IDEA.
There are lots of packs in the range and I think presenting one of these packs with the right recycling material and pot of glue makes a lovely and inexpensive birthday gift.

Oh I saw these whilst looking for school uniform. I have to say they turned out much better than I expected – you have done a fantastic job there.
Oh my days Becky, that is just too cute! I love it! Elephants and recycling are two of my favourite things. Crafting, I have to admit, falls a little further down the list but on the basis of this post I think I may have to trawl through our trash and see what I can come up with! xx

That is cute – what a lovely idea and I love the fact that it gets parents thinking about using their recycling / rubbish in craft projects. The problem I have here is that LMC no longer lets me get rid of anything as she thinks she can use it somehow. I wouldn’t mind apart from the fact that we’ve simply run out of space to keep everything. I’ve started having to sneak out recycling late at night when she’s in bed!
