Pushchair
Every pushchair is different, so it is important to choose one that will suit your lifestyle in a range of different ways. Many parents have a couple of baby prams that can be used in various scenarios and on different types of terrains. Pushchairs are definitely worth the investment, as you will use them on a daily basis and in a range of situations.

Car Seat
There are very few things that are more important than the safety of your baby. If you have a car, then investing in a good car seat is crucial. It is definitely not a good idea to buy a second hand car seat, as you will never know for sure whether it has been in an accident or not.
Make sure before you buy a car seat that you read up on the government laws. Babies that weigh 13kg or less are legally required to be in a rear-facing seat, but they can use a forward-facing seat once they reach 15kg. Only EU-approved car seats can be used in the UK and these will have a capital E in a circle on them. It is always good to do some research online first and read reviews from other parents before making a big purchase.
Baby Rocker
A baby rocker is great when you have a newborn baby, as it allows you to put your baby down and know they are safe while you start doing other chores around the house. They are small and light enough that you can move your baby from room to room with you, and tend to be at an incline so your little one can watch you.
Many also come with a vibration setting to help soothe your baby, and can be rocked with just a gentle push. A baby rocker is a great investment and will help keep both you and baby happy throughout the day, while also keeping them safe and secure.
Cot
A cot is likely to be one of the biggest investments you will make before your little one arrives. Babies tend to sleep for between eight and eighteen hours a day, so finding the right place for them to rest is important.
It is worth investing in a cot bed, as even though they are more expensive it means you will be able to use them until your child is around six years old. There are quite a few different options available, so make sure you do your homework first.

Baby Monitor
Babies can often be a worry to parents, especially when they are alone and sleeping in their room. There is nothing worse than feeling like you want to check on them every 5 minutes just to see for yourself that they are OK.
Investing in a good baby monitor is a great idea, as it can give you complete peace of mind while your baby is sleeping. There are some really good ones that will monitor your baby’s movements while they sleep using a pad under their mattress. Other high tech ones can also connect to your phone and use a camera so you can see your baby on a smartphone app and check they are OK while you move around the house.

Baby monitor was real life savior for me! As my little one was very naughty sleeper she use to do small cryings through her sleep and without monitor I wouldn’t be able to check if she is still sleeping or awake so I didn’t had to go to check every time on her 🙂 Also knowing that I can see her from the other room allows me to relax better 🙂
