Today – Thrifty Treat Ideas for Valentines Day
I asked my lovely twitter followers for their ideas for thrifty treats we could give our loved ones for Valentines day and as always they came up trumps….

11 Thrifty Treat Ideas for Valentines Day – from Twitter
Cut hearts out of maps of cities that are significant to you & OH (where you met, married, child was born etc)
Use a heart shaped cutter to make a hole in bread, fry, turn, crack egg into hole. Heart egg in toast breakfast! (in bed?)
Wonderplay
The old classic – give things that don’t cost £ – vouchers for “6 lie ins to be used any time in next year”. I’d love that!
Cut out tiny hearts one for each day of the year, with a reason you love that person – pop them in a jar wrap with a ribbon
A small meal with wine then a good game of chess with a shot & strip for the loser every time they lose a player
I’m making Heart Shaped Jammy Dodgers for OH.
Time & attention outweighs expensive presents. Cook a meal, light a fire, offer the right words & give a big hug! #Valentines
Make finger print paint hearts on cards to give to your valentine
Make brownies, you could cut them with a heart shaped cutter when cooked 🙂
Buy a pack of love heart sweets, (20p) and glue one to the front of a plain card. Simple and effective 😉 makes about 15cards
Love letters/poems to be found throughout the day. In work bag, lunch bag, bed etc. sprayed with perfume. #Valentines
Thank you for your tweets ladies, inspired ideas and I hope you get treated too.

I like Penny’s idea….mainly because you’d have to eat the “off cuts” to tidy up. 😉 thanks for including my idea!
Thanks for including me! I think all the suggestions sound great and proof money can’t buy you love 🙂 (sorry couldn’t resist…) but that taking time to give the person you love care and attention is really special.
