Ploc – the no advert, happy mag for little kids by the Anorak Press

This little magazine is absolutely gorgeous. It is published 4 times a year by the Anorak press. It is truly a traditional and even vintage looking magazine for kids that has no adverts and no cartoons in, just tons of fun.

It is eductaional, interesting and has lots of puzzles and activities in. It is beautifully illustrated in a Rodger Red Hat kind of way. There are pages to colour and dots to join, facts to learn, stories to read and things to spot. Children can make moving pictures, learn to cook and count and there is  lots of cutting and playing to be done.

Ploc costs £7 or £22 for 4 issues. It is reminiscent of magazines of my youth and I adore it for its innocence. My 4 year old  thought it was great fun, Hours of entertainment and not a broken, plastic freebie toy in sight. For those of you who want your kids life to be a little less commercial or mainstream media driven  this is the right mag for you.

Ploc magazine can be bought form the Anorak website.

What a great magazine! I am fed up with the tat that comes with the usual commercial cbeebies and pink magazines so this would be a fab alternative!
