Today – How to make a fairy home
I love finding the perfect post of the week as I feel I am sharing treasures. Thank-you Notes from Home for providing this weekly blog prompt and link up!
Last week I featured nurtursestore and the wonderful crafting that can be done on a budget. Today I would like to introduce you to another blogger who absolutely makes the best of the resources she has to hand. Christine blogs at Thinly Spread – she really engages her children in the natural world, a world of walks, gardening, creativity, crafting and storytelling and she shares this on her blog and writes so well I often feel very moved and inspired by her. Her photos are also stunning.
How to make a fairy home
Materialism does not feature with Chris she engages her children through talking, playing, making and imagining. Wonderful. Do take a look at her blog Thinly Spread
The post I am featuring is about an afternoon Chris spent recently with her daughter making homes for the fairies. They sat int he garden painting little houses onto stones for the fairies. Using acrylic paints they painted in two colours, one for the house and one for the roof. They allowed this to dry completely before adding details The stones would later be varnished.
Chris got this idea from a library book…what a great budgeter she is…. free craft material and the library too!
Do pop over and have a look at her lovely blog.
Thank you so much for your VERY kind words Becky! I am so glad you liked them, we loved making them!
Oh, I loved Chris’s post, thank you so much for recommending it and for writing such a lovely post yourself.
