I have been reading a lot about happiness recently and most of the research seems to agree on one key issue…experiences bring more happiness than possessions.

I find this really interesting as many people spend their whole working life striving for bigger cars , better and cooler houses and fabulous clothes when actually a few nice days out might just make them smile a whole lot more.
As gifts it is usually ‘stuff’ that we give isn’t it but I remember one Christmas my husband gifted me an entire day off parenting. I cannot tell you how blissful it was 2 under 5 and constant demands and then a complete demand free day ..blissful.
Into the Blue experience days have over 2,000 Experience Days available by gift voucher. I have been having a browse and found a whole host of activities and experiences that I am sure would make me smile.
Here are a small selection of my favourites:
I love flowers they make me so happy and a floristry taster day would show me how to make them look their very best.

I also quite fancy the idea of a superstar singing experience and the chance to make a recording. How much fun would that be! (perhaps I would get spotted and encouraged to go on The Voice! then again perhaps not)

As well as creative experiences there are also days out to be had …a Paddington bear tour sounds a lovely way to spend a day and will appeal across the ages

Or how about a bit of romance on a Thames night cruise

I can absolutely see how all of these would bring about lasting memories, new skills ad a great deal of pleasure. Possessions can get boring, broken, lost or be outgrown unwanted, experiences last in your memory bank for ever.
I can totally see how experiences create more lasting happiness…can you?
