We have been to Center Parcs 3 times over the last 6 years and see it develop each time we go. By develop I mean more flowers, not necessarily more shops, more picnic benches, more trails and sports facilities and accommodation that gets better and better.
To celebrate they are opening one of the most exciting water rides anywhere on the planet! The Tropical Cyclone is a one of a kind has unique 4 seater clover-shaped raft which will take families through a series of twists and turns, reaching speeds of 24 miles per hour. Rafters will experience a full 45 degree drop and even reach zero gravity during this thrilling 200 metre family adventure. It’s huge and the new water ride at Elveden Forest has cost 4 million!!! It sounds awesome and my kids would love this! It will also be joined by The Lagoon, a new family warm water pool, which is part of a longer term investment programme in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise across all four Center Parcs Villages
For the less thrill seeking and more relaxation loving 52,000 Bluebells have been planted at Sherwood Forest earlier this year and 3 luxury treehouse accommodation have been finished including hot tubs.
The widely different ways in which Center Parcs celebrates its 25 years shoes Center Parcs is about fun and family and exercise just as much as it is about nature and relaxation.
I have to say we may well be abandoning our favourite Sherwood Forest haunt for Elvedon next year!
