We have recently become a Makedo making family so we will be bring you a few makedo posts over the next few months.
I honestly can’t shout about this enough. It is touted as the next Lego ( but I love it more- it’s cheaper!) It is green, reusable, inexpensive and demands a ton of imagination and creativity from a child. Gosh that ticks all my budgeting eco and child development boxes!!
Makedo is a simple and reusable connector system which makes it easy to craft using up-cyclable materials such a s boxes fabric scraps, foam etc.
You give the kids the tools (the hinges, clips and safe saw and hole puncher (all very safe) and off they go. Models can be taken apart too and these tools can be reused. You can get free play packs or packs with stickers and added bits to make specific things.

We have been free playing and Annalise has made….
Elfie the Doggy

He is rather fabulous. She needed my help to push through holes as she lacked the strength but she adored this modelling and played for ages with Elfie. I love him too. We may paint him tomorrow or just go with the rather eccentric look he has right now.
You can find Makedo on twitter @Makedo and their Makedo blog is absolutely full of AMAZING creations that can only make Elfie look basic (but we love you anyway Elfie)
We will be back with more models to show off soon!
You can buy Makedo from most toyshops and of course it is available on Amazon
A Makedo free play kit costs £9.57

Dusclaimer: We were sent our packs of Makedo to review
WE joined this post to the Little Builders linky
Thanks so much for linking up. I love Elfie the dog.
We made a pirate ship today with Makedo..it was a bit wobbly but lots of fun! I can’t wait to try it again.
xx
I love this stuff, I was so taken when I saw the picture on fb yesterday. Such a genius idea, Mr G is getting some for his birthday, I am so fed up of running out of sellotape in this house from sticking boxes together!

You may never need sellotape again Penny!
Wonderful, those Make Do clips are simply brilliant, aren’t they?!
Thanks for sharing on Kids Get Crafty!
