Magpie Monday: Playroom Art

Oxfam’s online shop  is a really interesting way to charity shop. Your money still goes to the same good causes. You can still have a really good rummage and find some fabulous bargains but you don’t have to get dressed and you don’t have to go to lots of shops before you find the treasure you are after. This way you can also charity shop in the middle of the night!

I have loved postcards since I was a little girl doing my Brownie Guide collectors badge. This Mabel Lucie Attwell postcard by really touched on  the cheeky messiness only a little kid can create and I think it is a fantastic picture. In a  little frame I  think it would be a lovely addition to a playroom or a child’s bedroom.

I love it! £3. What a bargain!

That is a GORGEOUS image! I’ve often looked on their online shop but never actually purchased so far. Maybe I should take another look. x

I sometimes end up buying Oxfam online stuff through eBay but so far haven’t gone direct. You’ve inspired me to check them out properly.

Mabel Lucie Atwell was amazing at capturing the cheeky facial expressions of small children!

Oh good idea, I love the idea of charity shop shopping but I never get enough time or seem to get very lucky when I do get chance to rummage. Maybe we should compare notes on the best ones locally!

I love Oxfam and the whole idea of buying pre-loved, quality goods. The postcard is just too cute for words!

That’s a really good idea Becky.

Ideal for me when I don’t have the time to head to the local charity shop on a weekend and rummage for gems.
