How to create the ultimate superhero pyjama party

Superheroes are all the rage for children, and when it comes to planning an action-packed themed birthday it can be the ultimate party choice. If you are planning a pyjama party for your little one, superhero themes can go down a treat with them and their friends. By following a few tips, you can easily create your child’s superhero party.

Superhero Inspired Cake

Making a cake to fit your theme can be a great way to showcase what your party is all about. With so many superheroes to choose from, the hardest part will be picking which to include. There are loads of different cakes you can make for your child’s party (some of which may be easier than others).

First of all you need the basic cake ingredients and a recipe to follow, if you want to make something a little bit fancier, there are plenty of recipes online you can find. After baking your cake (and letting it cool!) you need to go on to decorate it.

Decide which character or characters you want to include and it may be a good idea to draw a rough design on paper to follow. Batman cakes can be made using black, yellow and grey icing and by cutting out certain shapes, you can soon form a picture.

If your child is a fan of the Avengers, a cake can easily be made with a design incorporating all four superheroes – although this may be a little more tricky! If you don’t want to make a tiered cake, you could make a tray bake and decorate this using different superheroes.

Dress like a Superhero

The most obvious garment to wear to a superhero pyjama party is a pair of bed clothes which feature your kid’s favourite hero. Look for short or long sleeved pyjamas with superheroes printed on them – Lamaloli offer superhero pyjama’s with a range of different characters on. You also get some capes for them and their friends to wear while the main part of the event is happening.

Good vs. Evil Party Game

It’s essential to have a few party games planned out and one of which is not only easy but lots of fun!

Start by blowing up numerous balloons, and draw faces on each one depicting villains or good civilians. When the game begins, the children will need to find the villains and pop them and collect the good people to save them. Normal party games can also be transformed into superhero themed fun activities – pin the tail on the donkey can be changed to pin the logo on the superhero and ‘pass the hot potato’ can become pass the ‘Kryptonite’.

With so many activities and option to choose for your child’s superhero themed birthday, it will be difficult to know when to stop the party games!
