Having a home you love is really important to the wellbeing and joy you find in your day to day life. Keeping it looking fabulous costs time, effort and money doesn’t it? And, when you are raising a family on a budget none of these are in great abundance.
You have to plan.
Planning is key and then finding a great retailer that fits your budget.
If you are looking for cheap kitchen updates that will have a big impact you need to consider the following:
- Your budget
- What you really want to change/update
- Where to shop
Rather than going for brand new everything I always caution people to consider their budget first and explore what it is they really want. If the two do not tally ( and oh how often they don’t!) you may want to reconsider your wants or save for a few more months to build your budget. When your wants have aligned with your budget now it is ts time to shop around and aim for the very best deal you can get.
Whilst buying a brand new kitchen may seem dauntingly expensive there are cheap kitchens available if you know where to shop. Kitchen Warehouse have a lovely array of cheap kitchen units and cabinets that are well worth exploring. There you can find bespoke kitchens at warehouse prices. Perfect for a kitchen update on a budget.
If you are really handy you may want to complete part of a kitchn installation yourself as a way to further save money. I have found some great how-to videos for you if this is the case. Doing your own DIY is a great way to save some extra money but I would advise only attempting it if you are handy and have the right tools – you don’t want to be messing up your newly purchased kitchen.
Sometimes you don’t actually need a whole new kitchen in order to update your kitchen and instead, you could consider (while saving for that new kitchen.)
- A big declutter
- A deep clean that leaves everything sparkling
- New cupboard doors/handles
- New accessories/appliances
- Giving the walls a lick of paint.
I do believe that a kitchen is the heart of a home and well worth spending money on but I urge you to sort out your budget and plans then take a good look round for aaquality kitchen you can afford.
