I asked on twitter what familiy activities people enjoyed on a budget. Here are our budget tweets of the week, with thanks to everyone who got involved.
Making the most of local parks when we go out
Museums are always great. Most of them are free, great for families.
We love Sunday walks – cost nothing, weekend before we found blackberries so that was pud sorted too. #budgettweet
@babybudgeting play in the woods, it’s free and there are lots of natural “toys”
#budgettweet at the moment our favourite is leaf crunching. No money required, just dry weather. Running and crunching fun!
#budgettweet then take some of the leaves home for craft projects. Twice the fun!
surestart centres run some great play sessions accessible for all around the country for free (welcome donations)
Board games are great fun.
Library, Children’s Centre, Parks, Bike rides, free museums/farms (eg
@hackneycityfarm @MuseumChildhood ) #budgettweets
@set4sport have some great ideas for getting active and playing with your kids using things around the house
On days like today, dvd and duvet days, with yummy treats always go down well with my little ones.
Enjoying crafts or cooking at home, bike riding on the common or mud-pie making in the garden -The latter is their favourite!
Thanks to everyone who contributed!
