We were invited to Legoland Windsor this weekend for being finalists in the Mad Blog Awards in the thrifty category.
We went down the night before and stayed in an adventure room in the awesome Legoland hotel. It was beyond fab, the pool was wild and Lego pirate themed… it was a riot! The kids adored it. Our room was amazing..we got to crack a safe (I mean the kids did) to find Lego goodies inside. There was a Lego Indiana Jones hat handing up on the bathroom and a crazy parrot in the corner of our bedroom. There was also a rather a strange yellow man in the bar.
Even the Lego themed toilets had talking mirrors and the reception desk was bedecked with 100’s of mini figures. A true lego lovers delight. In the evening there was an awesome Lego show which the kids loved. J very kindly put the kids to bed himself and I caught up with some old bloggy friends Sally Ruth (and the lovely geek daddy) and Emily and we had a good giggle.
Next day we got to watch the new 4d legends of Chima film in the imagination theatre and that was awesome. Penny and her gorgeous kids joined us to play in Duplo Valley which was fab and then we set off to explore the park. Lego land is awesome we went on almost everything. Mini land remains the firm favourite with my son as he is completely in awe of and inspired by the amazing skill that goes in capturing all those places. Wow. As he grows and has read more and visited more places he recognises more in the mini land and he loves it. I think we will be coming forever.
My daughters favourite thing of all was the dragon roller coaster and eating candyfloss.
My favourite bits were seeing some old friends, making some new ones and seeing my family so happy.
