Big Night In (and A Little Night In)

Today – Big Night In

MoneySupermarket’s “Big Night In” is a campaign launched to showcase how you can have a great night without blowing the bank. Well they gave me a £50 budget as part of a fab blogger competition to show you how I could have a great night in for far less than a great night out would cost.

Here at Baby Budgeting we can make £50 go a very long way so I decided to do a big night in and a little night in too.

The kids chose s a comic each (Beano and Pink ) Despicable Me on DVD , sweeties and ice cream cones. On a regular school night too (and I am usually so MEAN with sweeties! ) They had such a lovely time , made more exciting by the fact it was a surprise.

As so as they had happily enjoyed their special evening it was our turn. I decided to spoil us both!

Chocolate and flowers for me to enjoy whilst my OH had a soak in his new bath oils. Followed by a gorgeous meal of stuffed peppers and mushrooms , roasted veg, cheese and rice bakes.

Big Night In

This was topped off  by a huge, tangy fresh fruit platter. All whilst we watched Sherlock and drank Merlot. The peach Bellini’s will have to with for another day.

We had a gorgeous night in!

Big thanks to MoneySupermarket!

That’s great! You really did get a nice meal for your money too. I love the idea of a bath, I’m sure if I’d thought it through I could have spent the entire evening and £50 in the bath…. 🙂
