How to use Pinterest as a research library

I use Pinterest in so many ways  but one of my favourite ways to use it is to research new ideas.

Pinterest use

I have two areas I am researching at the moment on Pinterest.

Firstly we are going to the Algarve on holiday and it really is an area I know absolutely nothing about.
So I have put together a board all about Portugal. It includes pins of sights, beaches, décor, things to do and places to go. It is getting me so excited for our trip and really helping me plan. I read the content when I have time but I have just shown the pictures to my children and  it has really enthused them  It’s lovely to see all the colours of the area, the long sandy beaches and unusual rocks and the vast the array of tempting dishes. It has built up my knowledge but also out collective excitement.

Another project I have on the go is from a less personal but more professional view point. I am researching decluttering for an upcoming writing project. Rather than wade through lots of text books  what I am after are simple, achievable tips. Pinterest pins nearly always lead to short(ish) pieces of content with often a simple how to that people have usually tried out themselves..

I have read so many brilliant projects and tips around decluttering since starting this board I feel most inspired and have lots of new ideas for my own project.

How do you use Pinterest?…Do you use it as a library and an inspiration board too?

I had never thought to use it for that reason, I just seem to generally get lost in the “pretty”!

I’ve always used Pinterest so randomly, but recently I wanted to get inspiration for my daughter’s room, because she wants a change, and it’s been really helpful to do just this!

I don’t use pinterest enough really. My issue is as soon as I start using it I lose myself there for hours! Then I don’t get things done!

I Love, Love, Love Pinterest. From putting together outfit inspiration, dream decor for the house oh and a lot of food!!! I’ve also found it has linked me to some great articles and blogs that have now become part of my weekly check up.

I am addicted to pinterest. It cane to my rescue yesterday when I needed something to make my cousin smile. I just searched “inspirational quotes” and found the perfect one right away. I hadn’t thought about using it to plan trips. Genius idea!

Great idea. We also use YouTube for almost any research that we need to do.
