Getting Over Jesse Franklin is one of those books that when you have finished reading you want all your mates to read because it’s so fab and you want to be able to chat about all the characters.
Particularly the very handsome Jesse.
I absolutely hate reading book reviews that completely give away the plot as there is then NO POINT reading the book so I am not going to do that here I promise.
Getting Over Jesse Franklin is about the rekindling of a teenage crush on a beautiful boy band guitarist through the magical powers of Facebook and all that ensues. It is a book about dreams, friendship, love and even ukuleles and I swear it will take you back to your teen years and crushes in an instant
Anyone remember Nick Heyward from Haircut 100. No? Well I DO! (Wonder if he is on Facebook?)
Anyway I digress.
Basically this book is fab it made me laugh, cry, remember and sigh a bit too. You will so want to share it with your friends.
It is Stephie Chapman’s ( you can’t miss her, she has purple hair and plays the ukulele) first book and it is set to do very well indeed. She’s had amazing reviews so far and last night there was a twitter party to launch it which had such a great buzz.
This is the perfect beach read.
At the moment it is available on Kindle and ibooks but the paperback version cannot be far behind. And it only costs £1.99. Cheaper than a glass of wine.
Go on treat yourself and come back and tell me if you loved it.
I bet you do!
